cleaning house in Christ :returning to the pure church

This chapter speaks clearly of a pure church that is in trouble and is given a directive in conduct and action of correction it talks about cleaning house and doing away of fake Christians a separation unto holiness .it brings to remembrance in exodus how the Israelites killed the ones that had worshipped the golden calves and other situations , God speaks clearly of a pure church .

Okay? How's this?
For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth. 19 For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. 20 For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse. 21 For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened.22 Claiming to be wise, they became fools, 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and creeping things.
24 Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves,25 because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen.
26 For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; 27 and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error.
28 And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done. 29 They were filled with all manner of unrighteousness, evil, covetousness, malice. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, maliciousness. They are gossips, 30 slanderers, haters of God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, 31 foolish, faithless, heartless, ruthless. 32 Though they know God's righteous decree that those who practice such things deserve to die, they not only do them but give approval to those who practice them. (Rom. 1:18-32)

Do we kick out all those people? Got to say. As far as keeping a house clean, that would help. Houses stay cleaner if no one enters them. Of course, none of us get to see the inside of the house, because we fail the list.

How about stop pointing to sins you don't struggle with and point to the ones you do? Read 28-31. There's the list of your sins (and mine.)

I don't rob banks. That doesn't make me better. I'm a coward, guns scare me, and my idea of a good time is avoiding spending time in prison. I sin in other ways.

obey yahweh's word. when he says get rid of the evil in your midst, ekklesia do just that. when you are evil to start with, you can't very well get rid of yourself, can you ...... but the ekklesia won't tolerate wickedness in their midst. the social false church does, every day. the true ekklesia do not.

Just for camaraderies sake. I am a retired machinist, once involved with water purification for the first seawolf sub. We have something in common in addition to believing in Christ.

Awesome...as a machinist not only did I make parts for jets and missiles I also supervised a shop that drilled Inconel, Titanium and Stainless plates that were used in water purification.....they used heat to vaporize the water to steam and then condensed the steam to purified water.....I am pretty sure some were used by the navy in subs as well.....awesome bro...!

Titanium 90% + pure for the seawolf, and I know those other metals you mentioned also. Reverse osmosis thing. I was a tool maker. Later a programmer for CNC and also operated them. Industrial microwave also. By the way, I am a vet of Nam also. Artillery DMZ (noticing your avatar) Good day.

Yes... If they are content to live in rebellion to God. If they are not in Christ, why should we lie to them and tell them they are safe while the corrupt they Body?
