What it has to do with is world energy reserves. They are finite...not infinite.

Quatar used to have lots of oil and natural gas....lots of shopping malls and luxury hotels....now they have depleted the resources and have empty, abandoned malls and sand.

The USA consumes ¼ of the energy but has over 70% of the world economy. However, we do have oil and natural gas....but it's needing to be preserved while exploiting other country's energy reserves. Because one day there will be a tipping point of the finite energy reserves in the ground. We need CHEAP fuel...not just fuel period....and there's a difference.
We can make diesel out of many things...but inexpensive diesel is not just made from anything.

It's requiring drilling in offshore locations and other more expensive locations to provide petroleum products to the world market. If the USA preserves their resources while using them as leverage to control costs of other nation's price for oil and natural gas...it will be a more stable marketplace and peaceful world.

As it is the purchase or embargo of petroleum can have a drastic effect on many of these nations with oil.

While Canada is all consumed with Oil Sands and the Keystone pipeline...it is a low utility petroleum because of the high Sulphur content. PRC barely uses the nasty stuff...and it's full of pollutants that nobody wants in the atmosphere. (Acid rain)

Newer technology needs to be developed for cheap energy...so far we don't have it. We have more efficient energy but not cheap energy.

On the other side of the coin...we only have one planet. Let's not use the dining room or living room as a toilet...we might need them in the future.

Good to see some thinking on these things is going on. Ultimately humans best efforts are to end tragically as this is the true history of the Bible. Interesting that some First Nations people say something like, "We see the future in our past". Where are 'Christians' looking for the future? Unfortunately First Nations people are reverting to early ways. Thanks to 'religion'?

You apparently do 'some' following of environmental conditions. So what was going on in Libya, and particularly while Muammar Gaddafi was in control. I saw something about a canal works. This may have been a source of conflict.

Also, the Sahel region of the Sahara was proposed to plant vegetation by Japan and that didn't go into effect. Was there any potential collusion with foreign countries contrary to US policy involved.

Possibly there is now some others interested in Sahel revegetation. Possibly Muslim dominated?

sorry I dont know everything that goes on in the entire world but can find out if you like.

a lot of fresh water is locked up in the polar regions. If they melted, which they do every year but in greater quantities than normal things will inevitably change, some areas for better, some for worse.

things have been pretty disastrous in terms of stewardship over Gods creation on many peoples part.
 
hyrdopower is the way to go for many that can harness the rivers, thats why Egypt flourished in the ancient times with the river Nile , and Israel of course had the Jordan river

the garden of eden had four rivers

in china for centruies the yellow river and the yangtze provided abundance when they could use the river water and also threatened death when it flooded..was known as Chinas sorrow

We need to look after our rivers. They are a lifeline.
 
Of course Jesus was baptised in the Jordan river it wasnt just a puddle like its depicted in some paintings to make it look like the Arno

London has the river Thames and Paris has the Seine, New York has the Hudson, all thriving cities...Venice is gorgeous but sinking...

From the Wadi in Egypt to the Euphrates River outlet in the Persian Gulf is the Fertile Crescent....a land mass area that most people read as with a name tag of Eden as they read Genesis.

It's been dubbed the Fertile Crescent for thousands of years....but scriptures name it Eden.

Eden had a garden....it's location is Israel today.

Wouldn't doubt that the Red Sea Rift is fairly new and land mass of Africa down towards Kenya's Mt. Kilimanjaro were all part of Eden.

On November 15th, the world population surpassed 8B. Some scientists say we are near the carrying capacity of Earth, the maximum sustainable population with limited resources.

I'm not exactly sure because of pangea...

I know what Genesis 2 describes....and you might be correct for the southern border of Eden. The hedges and etc described....

What all the borders described mean is that NOTHING entered Eden without God's express consent...because Adam and Eve were protected by geography. Uncrossible rivers...dessert...hedges of thorns....just saying.

My speculation is the four rivers. If the regions of Africa where the Blue and White Nile were part of Eden then these four of

Genesis 2:10 And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads.

11 The name of the first is Pison: that is it which compasseth the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold;
12 And the gold of that land is good: there is bdellium and the onyx stone.
13 And the name of the second river is Gihon: the same is it that compasseth the whole land of Ethiopia.
14 And the name of the third river is Hiddekel: that is it which goeth toward the east of Assyria. And the fourth river is Euphrates

No one seems to explain any other rivers.

Think Jordan River, Euphrates River, Tigris River, and the Wadi...

You might want to look up the Wadi. It's not the Nile or Amazon.

Orontes river is probably more significant and seems any speculation I've seen on these dismiss Orontes and Jordan. Wadi is more commonly referring to a dry bed which is seasonally filled. Google returns Wadi River but still is not giving length and associates with Nile. My money is still on two Niles and Rift of Red Sea. Time of event to me is totally uncertain. I don't hold to any certain time of expulsion from Garden of Eden. Not critical in big picture.
