Says The Lord,
And I will give you rest. My yoke is easy and
my burden light. The question is; do we take
those words seriously, do we trust Him when
He says that. Can I trust Him or do I choose
my own way. And if I do, how is that working
for me. Having personally spent much of my
life doing it my way, I can attest that it didn't
work well at all for me. God gives us graces
over and over again, pours out His love every
day upon us. Can it be that we are too busy
to focus on Him for a few minutes of the day.
We shower each morning to wash our bodies
but do we pay attention to the cleansing of our
souls. Being a Christian, in my view, means
that we are obligated to accept what Jesus told
us during His time on earth. Those are not just
words written on a line. So if we don't take the
time to accept what He said, the we are not yet
ready to avail ourselves of His graces fully. We
don't do this for Him, we do it for our own growth
in the Spirit.
