Hello Friends,

I have recently been through a difficult time and season. A season where work became almost enslaving and my commitment to God even in the form of reading the word of God each morning and spending time with God in prayer became something that dwindled away. Ive had this occur before but never to the degree i have recently experienced.

This morning i recognised a deep need for a recommitment of my devotion, faith and love for God and even now as i share with you here i must enter back into fellowship at church and seek Gods kingdom once again as a lifestyle and not just a choice.

The primary reason for back sliding as some may call it was because of work demands and a manager that had no consideration for my own personal preferences for having Sundays off. I have always tried and maintain my devotion to God as i have always been constantly reminded of how important my walk with God is and there has been so many occasions where i failed in my devotional times with God and there was an immediate reaction. This has always been the case and is the same case again. Things just dont work when I'm uncommitted to God!

When i was employed and a new manager came on board i was asked by the manager on two to three occasions what days i wanted off. I always said i was flexible but i mentioned every time i was asked that i wanted sundays off.
Over the five months of working for this one business in hospitality i hardly had any days off that i wanted off. Slowly over time i stopped going to church because of not being able to get the weekend off and then my devotions of prayer and reading the word of God failed. Not to mention that i have been working for over twelves month in hospitality and in both two businesses that i was employed i was underpaid.

This morning i recommitted myself to God in my devotion to him and i would just like to share this story with you so that you can be reminded of the love that God demands from our lives and hearts as followers of his precious Son. Stay close to God and walk with him in your constant first love for Jesus. Stay in church, read the bible and spend time with other Christians and in prayer.

God loves us with a jealous and passionate love and theres nothing that God will let get in the way of that love. He is like a jealous lover who's love is pure.

Be encouraged, if you are facing hard times in your walk with God i encourage you to maintain you devotion and first love for God and keep it strong and never let anything else comes first before God.

When Jesus said to seek the Kingdom of Heaven first above all things he really did mean it and things really will go your way when set God first and serve God in all you do on a daily day to day basis.

Yours truly and peace in Christ
