Schizophasia, mental and/or spiritual, is the confusion of words where so many people today, especially among the younger generations (and some older generations who have sold themselves out to perverse and/or adverse ideological mindsets) use words with definitions that to not align with their actual meaning they have in mind.
An example is where seemingly brainless, modern youth today on campuses claim that their opponent isn't "tolerant," when in fact they actually are merely referring to their dislike for another daring to disagree with them. Tolerance and agreement don't share meaningful parallels in definition within the context of their claim. As a result, almost everything said by so many young people of the liberal mindset doesn't carry a semantic load of relevant meaning to any discussion with a biblicist or conservative thinker.
Phrases generally are constructed correctly, but the applied sayings of the deranged with induced, psychotic, mental disabilities are devoid of logical sequence to the meaningful conversation. This phenomenon is not at all rare. It's inherent in people with other disorders, the main component of which is SIN, and thus the multiplication and perpetuation of so many false doctrines. In some cases, the manifestation of this disease is associated with a strong and sinful disregard for biblical continuity, thus entering into the arena of proper hermeneutics and systematic studies.
Others have argued its mostly a matter for lack of information, or "low to no information" syndrome. Given that SIN is the most common of all the elements, overcoming sin remains a mysterious and distant goal hardly ever realized by those who have intentionally sold themselves out to their sinful lusts. Yes, many lust after their doctrinal pets to the extent that it has become unthinkable too them that they could ever abandon what they have come to love on the basis of lustful indifference to empirical truth.
What have been your experiences with this?
Yes, that's a very broad question, but it strikes deep into one of a number of root causes...with sin being the prime mover and shaker of it all.
