Well I was doing somewhat fine until one of my incisions got whatnot think is infected and everything I eat makes me want to puke. Im praying to God that this gets better soon.

Dear Sister in Christ............I have been in your present situation.......not necessarily the same medical reason, but bed restricted, and somewhat alone......so I have some understanding of your present situation. I am praying daily for you.
I don't want this to get "weird" or anything.................and because of being "burned badly" once before here on CC.......Tintin and others know of what I am speaking......
But you remind me of my daughter a wee bit when she was your age.........Now, surely I'm old enough to be your Grandfather, so......grain of salt.
I wish I had the time to talk with you daily, and.............if I strive hard enough......maybe we can have a wee chat daily.....but because of my commitments in my everyday life.......I am never quite sure when I am available........
What I can do, if YOU wish, is give you my email address..........and if YOU choose to, you can email me, I will answer, and we can converse that way..........OR, we can just try to hook up here on CC when we are both on line.
I don't have "CC Chat room" capabilities.......so our conversations will have to be here on the Miscellaneous Forum....

Thank you for your compliments and well wishes! I did my nails today and tried to just keep busy or as busy as I can get. I got to talk to my brother who is stationed with the NAVY in Guam. And just catch up with friends.
As for cooking I sadly can really only eat soup. Its the only thing that my stomach can kind of handle at this point. Good suggestion though

Seriously though............Sarah needs to be sure to drink some Ensure or such to keep up the intake of her vitamins and minerals..........I know they are advertised as "old folks" drinks........But they provide enough nutrients to sustain someone during a time of illness....
The chocolate is ok, I don't like the strawberry so much...........pour one over a big glass of ice to make it more palatable.
When I was ill, I added a big scoop of vanilla ice cream to mine.........

I havent actually been drinking anything like that. I tend to prefer boost. My friend Lindsey God rest her soul got me into drinking it when she was battling cancer. Boost and ensure are pretty much the same thing.
As for icecream. Ive been craving it so badly. As for my diet the surgeon said there would be no dietary restrictions but I beg to differ. I can not eat anything heavy without feeling awful. So I think I will definitely be making some lifestyle changes. Well as far as food goes.
yup.............Boost.........or..........Ensure..............both will work...........the ice cream is great too.......in the drink.........makes it like a "chocolate float!"
In time, I believe, the discomfort of eating solid foods will pass........as you heal.............praying that it does.......
I once went 3 weeks without eating a bite of solid food........that was real torture.......well, to me anyway........
Got to the point that if I even smelled Campbell's Tomato Soup warming on the stove I would want to throw up.......sigh.....
Thank God all that passed.............and with His Grace, I won't be back in such a situation again.
good advice for some people..............honestly though, there are only certain fruits I can consume safely. Anything with a medium to high level of citric acid level is OFF MY LIST! Would put me in the Emergency Room post hast..........
