23 years ago I met and married a married man. He did eventually get his divorce after we got married and had a child together. I knew what it means to hold your peace when neither of us speak out on the day of our wedding to the part that says, "if there is anyone who knows anything that should prevent these couple from being a husband and wife". then it follows on with "then forever hold your peace". It took more than 23 years and 6 children and endless weekends of tears and heartache to finally discover the meaning of " forever hold your peace". After staying with my husband for 21 years, he took off and is now living with another man's wife.
I rededicated my life to Christ and I was glad to confessed my sin at church and I forgave my husband for leaving us. I know that it was my golden opportunity to be set free. I know that Christ have accepted me as I am regardless of how broken and shambles and sinful my life has been, Christ love, mercy and forgiveness is enough to clothes me and put my shamble life back together.
I am a much more happier person now with Christ than before and I can never thank God enough for setting me free from the bondage of sin. I am enjoying the company of my 6 children and relying on God for our protection and provision. It is not worth holding on to un-confessed sin in my life for it only prevent me from living life to the full.
Only God can renew us from inside out and set us free from the hold of our past so that we can enjoy Him and His provision for our now and our future.
