Except that dead doesn't mean dead in the Bible. I learned this from studying annihilationism. Death is separation from God.
That is a sense of dead/death, Chuckt, correct. But, when it comes to being dead and/or separated from God, then there is a perspective to consider... whose perspective is without controversy, God's. And this is a great thing to consider, "even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were."
[SUP]12 [/SUP]That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world
[SUP]9 [/SUP]For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living.
So, from God's perspective those identified in Christ are reconciled, a new creature God is currently forming for a vocation in His household. You have seen were scripture says we are citizens of heaven;
[SUP]19 [/SUP]Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God.
