FAITH without TRUST is EMPTY. What good is the FAITH in a PARACHUTE to a DIVER, if he cannot CAST HIMSELF OUT of the CRASHING PLANE and be REST ASSURED that is able to SAVE HIM.
FAITH is not SPECULATIVE or else ABRAHAM would have TAKEN a LAMB along with ISAAC, just in case GOD did not SHOW UP. What good it is to say JEHOVAH JIREH and then keep an option open just in case if He does not provide. Faith does not MAKE A ROOM for JUST IN CASE. EITHER IT IS FULLY CONVINCED about what is has BELIEVED in or NOT.
And then TRUST is LEANING or CASTING oneself on the OBJECT in which one has BELIEVED IN. Trust helps us to not just CAST OURSELF unto HIM but also to be REST ASSURED that he will do what HE HAS PROMISED.
TRUST is that CONFIDENCE that helps us not JUST to COMMIT OURSELF to the LORD but also DELIGHT IN HIM in WHOM we have TRUSTED. What GOOD is a TRUST which cannot BRINGS REST to the SOULS or which cannot COMMIT itself to the CARE of HIM who is ABLE TO CARE.
