There is so much confusion in todays world. But there is NO confusion if God has given you his spirit. There is remorse because we are sinners. But there is Joy in Knowing who the Lord is and that he has done it all. Rest in him, not in your choices or works. He has done a most wonderful work and he will not fail to save every one he came for. Don't be confused by men, there works and devices and rhetoric.
Trust him and not yourself or any man. Jesus Christ knows who are his and his people know he is. There is no confusion

My sheep hear my voice and I know them and they follow me....John 10;27

Follow him, trust him, praise him, rejoice in him. Don't be confused. Give all honor praise and glory to our Lord and King Jesus Christ now and forever

It is good for a man to both hope and patiently wait on the salvation of the Lord.......

Go thy way, eat thy bread with joy and drink thy wine with a merry heart for God now accepts thy works............

God no longer sees your sins but rather the righteousness of his son in you.

But know that the lord has set apart him that is godly for himself. Stand in awe and sin not...........Psalm 4

Sing praises to God. Sing praise to our king. Praise Jesus Christ for his wonderful work and put confusion away!

I believe confusion is rooted in envy and strife and is equal to a tumult, or commotion, which has to do moreso with a state of disturbance or disorder, whereas understanding (or rather, not understanding a thing) has more to do with ones ability and less to do with evil itself. You might mean not understanding.
