Same here sister. Ive come across few false brethren. I won't compromise my values and beliefs. I was in special education through school system. The main stream treated us as out casts, inferior. They tear people down who have disabilities. If you expose traditions of men from false brethren, they will hate you, and try to slander you. If they see you as different or the truth threatens them, you're the problem. The religious leaders were threatened by Jesus.
Many people didn't understand Jesus. He was spiritual. Some people are carnal minded, natural, and can't understand the spiritual things, or discern them. I failed trade school. My dad didn't understand why. He was disappointed and angry. My gifts are spiritual. I was called out of the world. The natural man can't understand this. Those who walk in the flesh can't understand spiritual things.
Body of Christ, like Jesus, many people don't understand us. They are carnal minded. 1 Corinthians chapter 2.
And my speech and my preaching was not enticing words of mans wisdom, but in the power of God.

Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect, yet the wisdom of this world, nor princes of this world, that come to nought. Because some people have Spirit of slumber. Holy Spirit is the key.

Now we have received, not the Spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is of God that we might know the things that are freely given to us By God.

But the natural man receive not the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness unto him, neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
Holy Spirit is needed to guide us, for discernment, and help understand deep truth of Gods word.
John chapter 15
If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own, but because you are not of the world, but I choose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.
They didn't understand Jesus, and they won't understand you either. Stay Steadfast and with faith. Peace.
