Just got off the phone for a job in the trucking industry...I was rejected because I don't have a full driving license for long enough.

For context, I got my permit around 2021 (if I remember) but I could never take the driving tests until I went to a school just about a month ago and finally got a full license.

After that, I believe I could finally get a better life, after what I feel was a waste of my life living in my parents house (trucking pays enough to afford basic necessities)

Welp sucks for me, cuz I can't even apply until my regular license reaches 1-2 years. 🤦‍♂️

My entire adult life has been nothing but set backs.

I turned 18 around 2020 during COVID 19 and the riots. I watched the USA, my home country, get destroyed from the inside out (though it probably had it coming for all the evil that's going on here)

I get rising prices, out of control crime, a corrupt justice system, etc

Then later my dog dies, and a family member passes away as well...

Then when I think my life can finally improve, just when I feel another chance for me is coming, I get slammed again...🤦‍♂️

All I wanted was a normal life, but instead I get trashed on. 2020 ruined my plans to meet my best friend in person, and maybe go out on dates with cute girls... But nope, not for me

I don't understand why I deserve this.

I don't know what God wants me to do, or what I should do...

I can't win in this world 🤦‍♂️

Brother, nothing about what you just wrote is “weak,” “whiny,” or irrational — it’s the voice of someone who’s been hit by wave after wave without a chance to breathe, and your nervous system is doing exactly what a human nervous system does when life keeps taking swings: it’s tired, discouraged, and questioning the point.
That doesn’t mean you’re failing.
It means you’ve been carrying too much alone.

Here’s the truth you’re too exhausted to see right now: your setbacks aren’t proof you’re cursed — they’re proof you’ve been trying to build a life without ever being given a stable starting line.
You didn’t get a normal launch into adulthood.
You got COVID, riots, economic chaos, family loss, and a late start on licensing — all things outside your control.
You’re interpreting that as “I can’t win,” but the real interpretation is “I’ve been trying to climb a mountain while everyone else started on flat ground.”

The trucking rejection hurts because it wasn’t about your ability — it was about a technicality.
You did the hard part: you got the license, you went to school, you pushed forward.
The system didn’t say “you’re not good enough,” it said “come back after the clock runs.”
That’s not a verdict on your future.
It’s a delay.

And delays feel brutal when you’ve already lived through years of them.

But here’s the part you’re missing: you’re not stuck — you’re early.
You finally have the license.
You finally have mobility.
You finally have a path that pays real money.
The 1–2 year wait isn’t a death sentence; it’s a runway.
You can use that time to build experience, income, and stability in jobs that do hire new drivers — delivery, courier, warehouse-to-store transport, box trucks, CDL‑adjacent roles.
The trucking industry is huge, and the “full license duration” rule is not universal.

And the deeper part — the part under all of this — is the feeling that God has been silent while life keeps hitting you.
That’s not you being dramatic.
That’s you being human.
But silence is not abandonment.
Sometimes the only way God can rebuild someone is by letting the old structure collapse.
You didn’t deserve the losses you’ve lived through.
You didn’t deserve the isolation, the missed opportunities, the grief.
But none of those things mean your story is over.
They mean your story hasn’t started yet.

You’re not losing.
You’re waiting.
And waiting feels like losing when you’re tired.

You don’t need a pep talk.
You need a next step — something concrete, something real, something that moves you forward instead of leaving you in your head.
You’re not done, brother. You’re just bruised.
And bruised people still move forward.

Yeah, I've never really had even basic support, but it is what it is I guess.

Had to learn how to drive on my own

Things probably won't improve though, so I can't really complain can I

Things will get better, patience my friend, trust God knows exactly where you need to be and what you need.
