I find it strange that you still play dumb when I asked you WHOM to marry. On one hand, you said a fellow Christian; on the other, there's no "soul mate", God didn't promise a mate. No wonder you can't answer it.

Matt. 5:28

I answered that question a gazillion posts ago. Do you think you're the only Christian in the world?

27 pages...
27 pages, this joker still can't understand that a normal, reasonable realistic person would desire a boyfriend/girlfriend first, then marriage upon a mature relationship, not marriage first, then an "ideal" "godly" boyfriend/girlfriend, whose existence he can't even prove.

It's fine to want to be married one day.

Also, I have another question for you. Do you believe it's wrong for a Christian to desire a boyfriend/girlfriend?

Did I say that it did? No.

I was answering your question.

What else does he say? You left those parts out.

Even when Paul makes clear statements about the subject we're discussing?
What's crystal clear is "married stay married, singles stay single." Go get married if you want and you can, you'll have trouble in the flesh.

It seemed wrong for Pharoah to desire Abram's wife, Esau to desire Hittite, Jacob Rachel, Israelites the Moabite women in the wilderness, Samson Delilah, David Bethsheba, and Solomon all those exotic women, so go figure.

Oh. Those are the only examples we have in the Bible about desire and marriage?

You came up about the desire for a boyfriend/girlfriend, and you only appeal to the bible as the ultimate authority, I but gave you what you asked.

I think I'm already tasting the goodness of God in a close relationship with Christ, as it is in the resurrection, where there is no marriage. And I also think other Christians have become Christians for salvation from Christ, not a boyfriend/girlfriend for marriage; the redemption of their soul is the greater concern.

But...the negative examples are not the only examples of marriage in the Bible.

Yes, but we're notin the Resurrection right now.

Well, yeah. But it's not people's only concern, is it?

If the topic of sex is "weird and inappropriate", yet wanting it is "nothing shameful and perfectly normal", then count me out, I don't need a license to "normalize" a highly "weird and inappropriate" act, and I don't like being a hypocrite, lashing out at others for what you're secretly wanting for yourself.

The Bible also mentions defecation, a perfectly normal and unshameful act.: essential to good health and human functioning. Experienced by every man woman and child. Yet it would be weird and inappropriate to make it the topic of VIRTUALLY EVERY DANG CONVERSATION YOU HAVE.

That is what you are doing with sex.

You must think about it an awful lot.

But instead of being honest about how much you think about it, you are just accusing others of wanting/thinking about it.

Not healthy.

It's ok to want it. For real. We all understand. No shame. So stop acting like it's shameful. And stop bringing Jesus into it. You are making a normal topic really weird. So what if your intent was only to ridicule? That just makes it worse.

For all your talk about thou shalt not covet, you are awfully comfortable with bearing false witness.

What is it like planning a wedding?
I've never had one, or planned one.

I've been a flowergirl though. And of course, a guest. Never a bride or bridesmaid.

The last wedding I went to, the bride and groom(my cousin) planned it all as a destination ceremony. They actually already tied the knot at the courthouse a year prior. They had it up in the Bay Of Islands, not our home town so all the guests had to travel there to attend.

They had it near the beach in the afternoon, and a marquee dinner and dancing afterward, with speeches and fun games. The food was a sit down 3 course meal, basically everyone had the same. It was nice, but definitely their own planning and not parents being too involved. Groom's father had passed away.

What I remember is they had this big flower arrangement suspended from the ceiling like a ball of flowers, it was orange. pink and white theme, and had flowers like gerberas and poppies etc. Also we got to take home flowers after. I don't remember a bouquet toss!

It's fun! At least in this case lol. The bride is really chill. If she wasn't it might not be as fun 😂.

Mostly I'm just advising her about colors and what to buy etc. She's running on a tight budget so we're working with random stuff I already have and what is growing on my farm. But it's coming together nicely because she likes a lot of what I already have lol. We are using old bottles for vases and field grasses in the arrangements. Then I'll help her pull it all together when we get closer to the wedding. I took 3 semesters of floral design in college so this is kinda my thing lol 😆.

Be fruitful!
Marriage 💑 is created by God, enjoy, pursue, or not, all are fine.
Single is created by God, enjoy, or not, all are fine.

Except defecation is a dirty AND shameful act that must be done outside of the camp, so it can be kept "out of God's sight"; sex on the other hand, in biblical ethics, is practically commanded for married couples as finalization of the act, God even struck Onan dead for he refused to do it, and "due affection" shall not be owed to your spouse, so if you wanna talk about marriage, sex is inevitable, because in marriage two must become one flesh.

See, I don't think about "sex" an aweful a lot, I've only weaponized it to ridicule the analogy of earthly marriage and heavenly marriage, that's all, and that is my intent. Let's skip sex, let's say, married couples have and raise kids, that's like an essential component of marriage's purpose, right? Having and raising kids? Do you do that with Lord Jesus? And believe it or not, I personally don't covet sex, I've never imagined myself in bed with anybody, I don't wanna get myself and anybody else traumatized for the rest of our lives.
