My stepfather has always been the same. He yells at my mother in restaurants & on the streets & he used to yell at me for nothing. He always uses Jesus to say you do not love him like Jesus loves him if you disagree with him on any subject. So in other words if you disagree with him on how to pronounce a word you are of the devil.
Now from the time I arrived he has been acting exactly as I expected, trying to put me down & once again using the name of Jesus to shut me up. Please pray that God corrects him concerning this & stands up for me as He has done for me in the past.

Dear Lord we pray with our sister for your protection of her mind, body and soul from the abuses of this person who would use Your name in vain. We know you are a just God and we ask for your Justice and protection for her and her mother. Give them the strength to resist his lies and find a solution to there problem. In Jesus name, amen.


Can i suggest you and your mother leaving? it doesn't sound very healthy and you know he's lying right? It is HE who should be treating you like Jesus treat the world. Give him what he ask you to, treat him like Jesus would. Here are some scriptures:

I will be praying for a light to be shed into your current perplexity. Also for your faith and hope in the Lord to remain unshakable, great strength will be in this. Endure and The Lord's will shall be done in your situation.
 
Firstly, the bible says do not use the name of the Lord your God in vain. It is one of the ten commandments. So to me i would say thats a sin to use Gods name just to win an arguement.
But do not confront him or do anything rude coz we have been instructed to honour and respect elders.
When he says something discouraging, go and pray and the Lord himself will be your comfort.
I will be praying for Him and that God may change him.
