IT WAS the school portrait that Miles Ambridge's parents vowed never to show him for fear of hurting the seven-year-old's feelings.



As his classmates at Herbert Spencer Elementary School in British Columbia sit together in three neat rows, Miles, who has muscular dystrophy, is seen stranded in his wheelchair to the group's left, straining his body to get closer to the other children.

First time around proberbly too scared to get him out of chair due to health and saftey review and fear of being sued if he had an accident being moved.
 
that is the reason we post these things.....so that corrective measures will be taken......:)
 
How the Teacher could even allow that to happen in the first place is despicable!
 
That made me tear up. I'm glad they were able to include him in a greater capacity! I love the huge smile on his face. :)
 
I'm a display of God
In a chair or on a bench
My condition His display
I will smile to be His champ .
In His favor He gave me wheels
So don't look on me with pity
Im riding in His chariot
His love , His kingdoms city.
my hands to you look tangled
But have you looked to see His staff?
The one that brings control
To my hand to ride His path
I'm an angel given wings
I come from heaven above
my smile His great compassion
To those in need of love .
I'm a soldier in Gods army
I know I may look weak
But dont forget St michael
Threw out Satan for our King .
I smile with Godly strength
As you see it beaming now
It's my lamp upon Gods Stand
see it's already traveled miles.
He has ordered all my steps
I'm His soldier thats for sure.
These wheels He gave for reason
There my wings where legs can't work .
I know that I am Gods
See He's crafted me this way
so others they can learn
As we begin to play .
I am what they don't know about
being different throws a curve
But what an opportunity
For me to share Gods Word!
I know that I'm still young
And challenges will come too
but look here at whats happening
He's brought me straight to you.
I don't know what Gods plan is
He's already prepared my steps
the first to take a photo
To soften hearts who may forget .
So please pass on my story
I may never say a word
But if God is softening hearts
Please send me across His earth.





don't know why, just felt inspired to write a poem that empowers this beautiful young mans life ..
