Conversion to another sect?

Oh i was just curious about those that are part of a certain church that jump from one to another and why they would do that.

Just to clarify my position,it seems that most Christian sects are nothing but gangs vying for financial dominance.

If you truly believe in Gods word then allegence to any gang isnt necessary.

Ive had to leave a church twice,both times had to do with pastors trying to split the church and they were teaching false doctrine. I wouldn't share your opinion on churches,but thats my ten cents on the subject. :)

now i just read the bible and pray

I would say most people don't leave their particular sects, but may church hop from one church in their sect to another. I thinking leaving your sect is a bit more drastic than church hopping. For example, if there are five Baptist churches in your area, a person may hop from one to another for all sorts of reasons. It is unlikely a Baptist would change sects and start attending a Methodist church, for example. There are doctrinal differences in each sect. A person may change sects if they become convinced that the one they attend is in doctrinal error.

These are my observations, anyway.

Not to be argumentative, but I think you are both missing out on one of the best parts of being a follower of Jesus.... physical interaction with the other members of your family. Helping them when they need help, leaning on them when you need help, rejoicing with them, and mourning with them.

Scripture tells us we are supposed to be members of a body of believers... and I don't think an online board is a substitute for that.

It doesn't have to be an "organized" church, it can be a few of your Christian friends who are "family" with each other, much like a small group.

I don't believe Christians were called to be "Lone Rangers"....

Thanks man, i really apreciate what you are saying and im going to take it to heart.

I was thinking about joining a church but there are so many to choose from,im very confused.

not to be defensive

...

but i also feel like im missing out

i just work 12 hours a day

some weeks all 7 days

if you add commute and hygine were talking

5 am to 7 30 pm...

and the family i have that claim christianity...

are catholic
i still try to make plans

but its not often an option

we arent exactly close by...


and like i said

i have tried 4 churches

i feel like this place is a blessing and really love the fact ive met other people here who read the bible like me
and not just listen to men speak and take it as gospel

I would disagree with your view of churches. There's a lot wrong with churches, and I would suggest the reason for that is pride, but I still think churches are good places. I don't know what I'd do without mine.
