There's so much in the news lately about a catastrophic disaster created by AI. Is it possible that such a disaster might actually happen and usher in the tribulation?

AI might cause serious harm if misused or poorly governed — experts disagree on the scale, but none claim a credible, near‑term extinction‑level event. And biblically, no technological disaster can initiate the tribulation, because tribulation is defined by Satanic aggression, Antichrist authority, and global persecution of believers, not by the collapse of infrastructure or runaway algorithms.
However, when I asked AI a while back about certain things, it gave some interesting answers. If you have access to an AI, ask it these questions and see what it tells you...
1. Does the description of the fallen angels fit modern day celebrities?
2. Could the "Iron mixed with clay" be humans implanting themselves with technology?
I got some interesting responses.
The reason for the tribulation period is peoples sin to the point God enacts judgement. AI is just a tool. Another means to be cruel, mean, manipulative, greedy, etc... I don't think AI within itself can usher in anything... it's people and the worlds evil that causes the tribulation period.
It won't because Jesus is the one that inaugurates the Apocalypse. For the Apocalypse to begin the Seven Seals have to be broken. No one is found worthy to break the seals except for the Lamb, and the Lamb is Jesus.
I don't know the answer. I will say that AI appears to be the ultimate goal of Humanism. Clues to how YHWH considers humanism can be found in the stories of Nimrod and the Tower of Babel. I believe He will again thwart man's effort to elevate ourselves above Him. I have no clue how.

I believe the Great Tribulation began in 70 AD and continues to this very day. That being said, the next big event is the Harpazo and the Man of Sin being revealed.
Since I believe the Man of Sin is synonymous with the Image of the Beast, I believe that AI is going to play a big part in its creation.
Many of the end times events described in the Bible align with a Singularity event.
The chances of the Singularity happening via the use of AI is getting higher all the time.
AI is experiencing exponential growth and advancement which just now being described as 'out of control'.

Though I dont believe 70 AD is the start of the great tribulation I do believe AI is the image of the beast.
I have never used it and dont intend to at all.

Please clearly define what you mean with AI, AI was destroyed on the commandment of God in Joshua 8. If you mean our surrender of judgement then the trend is much older as it started when you personally stopped to testing all and delegated it (see 1.Thess 5,21 "but test all things; hold fast to what is good,".

What's going around today will grow to the point where it will act on it's own and mankind will no longer be able to control it.
Exact why I am asking for a deffinition, what is Artificial Intelligence that's going around today, because a lot of this has been around much longer and by staying general we are not helping ourselves.
You should use google and educate yourself on what is going on with AI today.
It won't take long before you'll find accounts of AI going rogue and it's getting worse as AI continues to be developed.
As I have worked on programming AI for the last 33 years I know exactly wht AI, but that said, when you into the detais and stay outside of "Google something" you will see that most of todays AI is build on language models that we have used in our teachings for thousands of years. A good example is the Bible and its translation. So if you are arguing language models as evil stop using any bible translation. I personally also see many problems with AI, but the generalization is of little use.
