There was no jury in the Engeron case. And Trump couldn't get a jury of his peers in NY. It will be overturned on appeal.
Well, Trump didn’t ask for a jury. He could have. Of course, because he didn’t, that will not constitute a reason for overturning the decision.

You wrote this: That wasn't a jury trial. He wasn't allowed a jury trial. And the judge declared him guilty before the trial was underway.
You should at least inform yourself on subjects before speaking about them.

I proved you wrong. You should at least inform yourself on subjects before speaking about them.

Now you're changing the subject. Nice try! You're still wrong!
In the case you cited, Trump wasn't on trial. The Trump Organization was accused of fraud and found guilty. Trump himself was not charged. It was the top executives at the company that were found guilty.
You were correct that it was a jury trial. But Trump wasn't found guilty.
So again, what jury has found Trump guilty?

Incorrect. He wasn't allowed a jury trial. His lawyers asked for one.

MAGA supporters still stay loyal to Trump even though it's been shown that he's guilty of lying, fraud, infidelity, insulting veterans, praising dictators and inciting an insurrection.
So that if that's not enough to stop supporting him, what about his inability to control his mouth?
After Trump was found liable in the E. Jean Carroll trial, he couldn't stay quiet which cost him millions of dollars.
Who could trust a individual to make life changing decisions of a nation, who cannot even make wise decisions in regards to his personal affairs?

Yet if you could read the chatter about 15-18 weeks being Okay with Trump for abortion and the discussions over SB4 in Spanish you might be far less convinced...

Not anyone’s fault that he had a botched lawyer.
It wasn't an option. The fix was in from the get go. Now he can't get a bond that large and they will confiscate his assets.
Couple of things:
His 8th amendment rights were ignored in the imposition of such a large fine.
The judge pronounced him guilty before any testimony was heard.
Are you actually ok with this?

I said his lawyer didn’t ask for a jury. Are you okay with me stating the facts?

His lawyer didn’t request a jury trial. It appears to be a very expensive mistake.

Shades of the Soviet show trials. Sickening.

This time you didn’t get the facts, but don’t worry, his lawyer didn’t either.
His lawyer said they wanted a jury trial. You can believe her or not.
Now: are you ok with Trump's 8th amendment rights being taken from him? Are you ok with the judge pronouncing him guilty before any testimony was given?

I voted for Trump in 2016; I figured he was worth a shot. But since then he's proven not to be presidential material, so I can't support him. It's 2024, not 2016.

That's not true. They wanted a jury trial. Facts are great. I'm always in favor of them.
Geesh! How can we not get basic facts straight when they are so readily available.

Trump got a jury trial for the ridiculous E. Jean Carroll CIVIL case.

He did NOT get a jury trial on the $454 Million judgement against him in one of the worst travesties, and blatant partisan persecution of an American citizen in American history.

Since this discussion here has almost solely been about that insane judgement, will those that erroneously pushed that Trump got a jury trial for that case offer an apology?

Admitting wrong should be a primary tenet of a Christian, and shows moral integrity.

Unfortunately, you are stuck with boosting the guy who has the best shot at unseating the present regime.

The key strategy is booting the nutters now in power....out of power. By the most feasible means possible.

Desperate times call for desperate measures. Hold your nose and vote.
