Yeah, that is what is so puzzling to me. If the state governments are unwilling to protect its citizens and property then the Federal Government should be able to step in. Democratic Governors seem to be using all this chaos as some sort of political play and they should be held accountable for allowing this to continue to escalate out of control.

Oy vey! If you knew anything about abortion and people's freedoms under the Constitution you wouldn't make such comments. Abortion is most often a necessary procedure to extract a fetus that has no chance of survival outside the womb, and in the process save the life of the mother. The decision to do that procedure is to be decided upon by the woman (and her husband) and the physician or midwife. To say that the Democratic Party supports the daily murdering of unborn children is total nonsense.

The Ten Commandments were removed from certain public places because The Constitution says clearly that the government shall not establish any single religion. The public places belong to the people, not just Jews and Christians. It truly bothers me that you don't understand freedom of religion.

The Left's agenda, as you put it, is to have a country based on life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness -- for all people, not just rich white people who control the government and their misinformed supporters.

So, we have someone carrying the banner of the left and who believes abortion is a constitutional right and who defends his beliefs by telling others they have no faith etc and may God have mercy on their soul.

You are living in a peaceful neighborhood for many years then one night you are sitting down having dinner then all of the sudden you hear a loud commotion outside your home and you see a mob of people outside your residence shouting profanities at you with threats of bodily damage both to you and your family including but not limited to killing your dog. (The threat also was aimed at burning their house down) Question: What would your immediate thoughts be ?

To go get your Bible and read God's Word to them? (turning the other cheek) A gentlemen in Seattle tried this and was beaten within an inch of his life. Like so many here that have posted we are not a violent people and we believe in God and His Word. God has given us an abundant amount of wisdom, in this matter I think it would include putting ourselves in the position of these people that were threatened. Just some food for thought.

We are talking about people defending their own family while on their own property that has been invaded by people set on doing harm.

Defund the police and you'll actually see that happen. But this couple didn't do that. The mob was on private property threatening the residents. They have a right to defend their homes and property. That's what guns are for, defending yourself and your property.

Facts of that case haven't come out yet. Let's wait and make sure what actually happened. And that story, if it is as it appears, has zip to do with the couple being threatened on their own private property.

As I said, they left their property and went looking for trouble and will pay for their foolish action.
I will defend my family.
I find it very hard to comprehend how a person could just stand by a allow some one to harm a innocent person.

But there are many that are responsible and should.
Very seldom do you see a responsible gun owner doing stupid things.
In most cases it are those who have no business owning guns that act so stupid .

I personally knew an experienced gun owner who shot a family member by accident because of mistaken identity, then killed himself. Most private gun owners are not trained in self defense and don't know if they'll behave appropriately in a real-life situation.

Can you assure anyone that, facing a similar situation, they would behave differently? If they're untrained in crisis management and self-control under pressure, their response is unpredictable.

Tragic mistakes do happen but I am not so sure the person was as RESPONSILE as you believe.
Don't know the circumstances, but seems he shot in haste before he i.d. the person.
My view is that a responsible gun owner will be train in crisis management, will be in control under presure, and most important, will have a positive i.d. before he pulls that triger.

NEVER, NEVER, rush. Take that extra second or two to be positive.
