This is a recipe I created. I love getting creative in the kitchen. If you decide to try this out, please tell me how you liked it!
Ingredients:
EVOO (Extra Virgin Olive Oil)
1/2 red and yellow bell pepper diced
3/4lb. of medium shrimp (deveined and shelled)
1 box of Fettuccine or linguini Barilla pasta (or 1 lb of your favorite brand)
1/4 cup of milk
1.5 jars of your favorite Alfredo sauce
and if desired, Parmesan cheese.
1. Boil your water for your pasta. Add salt to taste.
2. Start off by adding olive oil to a 10 inch skillet over medium heat. add in your shrimp and MOST of your diced bellpeppers. Season and saute until your shrimp is cooked thoroughly. By this time your water should be boiling. Add in your pasta to the boiling water.
3. Pour one jar of the alfredo into your skillet. add in the milk and simmer over a low fire. Once your pasta is cooked, drain and return to the pot.
4. Turning your fire off add in the .5 jar of alfredo to the pasta. Turn your skillet off and also pour that into the noodles. Mix through until everything is evenly distributed.
6. If you want a stronger parmesan taste add some to your simmering sauce. For a milder flavor, add it last.
7. Serve onto plates and sprinkle remaining raw bellpepper over the top.
8. Serve with your favorite salad and garlic bread.
BON APPETIT!!
