The atheist are scurrying around trying to prove something comes from nothing. For me to believe something came from nothing takes a lot of faith. More than I could ever have. I believe in the less incredible theory that a being exists outside the laws of the universe. This being created everything and has spent thousands of years guiding us to what this being wants. Most of the population has latched onto this concept. A few have let their belief that science will provide all the answers, get in the way.
 
I hope Ken Ham is prepared for the science part of it. I'm afraid it'll be a sermon, and Bill Nye will just walk all around it. Not that Nye is impressive, but just sayin'.

Poor show to have a debate about creation, but never get to debating it.

I generally like Ken Ham and AnswersInGenesis.

I must address this misconception: "trying to prove something comes from nothing'
This is impossible, by definition existence cannot come from non-existence. Since we are here, "something" has always existed. The debate is what this something is, christians call it God, atheists just say they don't know.

As far as most of population latching on to the God concept, yes, for explanations of origins I agree. However, depending on where you live and what time period there is really no consensus as far as how God is defined, what God wants, how God communicates, and how God manifests in our reality. So just because everyone believes in a broad concept of "God" doesn't mean everyone agrees with each other thus there being no concrete evidence of the details of an actual "God".

Thirdly, we do not believe science will provide all the answers. We acknowledge that science can sometimes provide answers or explanations about reality that was unknown previously. We also know that these explanations may change due to further observation and investigation. There are some answers which may be unknowable or outside the realm of science.

Anyway typical creation vs evolution debate that has been hashed many times, this is a fundraiser for the Creation museum because they are probably slacking in sales.
 
Excellent video, LClark! I have seen on the Intelligent Design videos and this was an excellent tie into those ones. Amazing how science is changing from within, and acknowledging that life is too complex to have arisen by mere mutation and time.

As for doseofreality, I highly recommend you take the time to watch the free video above, or buy Dr. Stephen Meyer's books on Darwins' Doubt or Signature in the Cell, and learn a little bit about the way science is now moving.

Always aware that ID does not prove the existence of God, but for me, it made me realize that someone or something had created the plant and animal life on earth, and my search to find who that was ended by finding out it was Jesus Christ, and I have never doubted it for 33 years, despite having a degree in physical geography and biology from a secular university, where the apparent contradictions of Darwinian evolution became very apparent.

I will read your links doseofreality, if you watch the video LClark posted. I think you know very little about ID, except what humanists and other atheists have told you.

This is a very strong video, with a Ph.D scientist who is not only well versed in all aspects of evolution and ID, but also very gentle and doesn't put down anyone, (Christians or atheists) about their beliefs. I challenge you to watch it and learn, instead of just posting condemnatory links which have no footnotes and do not back up their claims.

I personally am a young earth Creationist, but I believe that when you can start showing that ID is not only possible and probable, but actually a better explanation for origins than mutations and long earth age times, and it will start you on the search to find out who that "intelligent designer" actually is.

Of course, if you are afraid to be challenged, and just hang out on a Christian website to throw up links which are unscientific and unverified, with absolutely no references to current scientific literature, then I have to say you are probably pretty rigid and unteachable. I do hope that is not the case, and you will watch the video. (The first part is the host talking a lot, you might want to forward it to where Dr. Stephen Meyer, who got his doctorate at Cambridge, comes in!)

It would be nice to see one of these anti-Creator guys or even someone like Hugh Ross who has been corrected for his incorrect writing by fellow Christians debate Dr. Jonathan Sarfati. I tried to set up debates with Ross and he refuses. Those of you who hold to long age of earth would enjoy this debate for sure and might even learn something if you were to quit compromising with anti-Creator, anti-God, evolutionists with such garbage as Noah's flood not being global, death before man, and all those huge problems you have because of your compromise of the God-Breathed Word of the Bible. For those of you who think you know it all about millions of years of life on earth, what is your view on what is coming, because we are told in a twinkling of an eye the church will be taken and new bodies will be given and this is not millions of years when the new heaven and earth comes friends and neither was the 6 day creation that God spoke to Moses about directly on the mountain. The reason you compromise the Bible is based outside of the Bible trying to justify a false worldview.

To be fair, the Resolution and the court case are both close to ten years old (I think the resolution is older. Ten years is a lot of time in science, even in religious science. Not that I'm heaps sold on the particulars of ID as a science, but I've been looking at it again recently, and it's streets ahead of where it used to be in terms of process and review.
