Romans 8:19-21 The creation waits in eager expectation for the sons of God to be revealed. For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the glorious freedom of the children of God.
1. Besides living things, part of creation is human beings. So how can people who are unbelievers be waiting in eager expectation when they are living for the world and have fear of dying.
2. How is it going to be liberated from its bondage to decay? When Jesus comes again??
3. And brought into the glorious freedom of the children of God??
Romans 8:22-23 We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. Not only, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies.
1. In Romans 8:16 The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children.
If we are already God's children, why do we wait eagerly for our adoption as sons?
2. the redemption of our bodies? The body dies & decomposes?
Is this actually saying what is mentioned in Philippians 3:20-21 And we eagerly wait a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that will be like his glorious body.
Those who are still alive in the physical body will have a glorious body.
Those who are dead no longer have a physical body (decomposed) to be transformed'?
