gentiles just never seem to understand.

look up < exec essene crucifixion > .... (anyone searching for truth). (or other Jewish/ Hebrew/ resources)

remember most modern/last couple thousand years descriptions were started/ came from the heresy rcc, and was never right.

Sounds like you've got your roof under control now. Good work!

And as for the cross, that is my point, the "t" was most likely never used in that situation. It would have taken endless hours to have constructed a cross such as is always depicted... and all this happened in a very short time span. As I have said, yes, it "could" have eventually been done in about two weeks (maybe even more) by a good craftsman. But it's highly unlikely someone of that caliber would be wasted on a rough and tumble death squad. Those guys would be off building palaces..... not assigned to an outpost in Israel. (Remember, this person would have to already be there, ready and waiting....... It would have taken weeks to get him there from Rome (or wherever he might be).

Well, I would hate to bring the cross of Christ into any kind of dispute myself, but if I would speculate (which I hate to do) but would consider what you say, that this would just take too long and no one spends this amount of time on wood to crucify criminals, would it be wrong to further consider that crosses were reused?

You're 58 and still can't use the right version of your/you're in a sentence?

:-/

I always do that, I just cant be bothered with adding that in

Now, THAT is an excellent point, and VERY valid. But we would still have to convince some people who dogmatically claim Christ only carried the (appx) 150 pound cross-piece up the hill.

In all my years as a christian I have never had to convince anyone of anything concerning the dimensions and weight of Jesus cross.

I dont know what you mean by your post though.

The cross is the core of our faith and is the means of sanctification. With out the cross we might as well be Muslim or Hindu or Wicka. or any other works based religion.

We could speculate but that just never leaves me satisfied, no one is ever satisfied with these conversations in the end,

I think half the time we ask the wrong questions and pursue all the wrong things when it comes to our knowledge even, it becomes a huge waste of time more often then not.

Seriously? Without a specific configuration of a piece of wood we become not Christian?

I kinda see it as the "work" that Christ DID on the cross...........were it not for Christ, what value would the cross be? Do we value the other two crosses used that day? The Holy Spirit is the power of Sanctification, not the cross.

The cross is a earthy representation of what Jesus did........we should never worship the cross though.

Just me.......... :)

I meant some people would not entertain the notion of a reused cross.... since to be structurally integral, the apparatus would have to remain as a contiguous unit.
