Cry after, lift up your voice for knowledge and understanding, seek and search for wisdom:

• “yea, if you cry after knowledge and lift up your voice for understanding; if you seek her as silver, and search for her as for hidden treasures, then you shall understand the fear of Jehovah and find the knowledge of God. ” (Proverbs 2.3-5).

First of all, let’s understand what means:

• *Knowledge*: the science behind everything, which allows us to come to grips with the vicissitudes of the life;
• *Understanding*: the realization of the importance of such knowledge.
• *Wisdom*: the capacity of using the knowledge in an efficious way.

Jesus said:

• *ask and it shall be given to you* (Matthew 7.7). Now did you take in what you need to cadge? Plead for knowledge and understanding and you will procure this from Jesus (Matthew 7.8);
• *seek and you shall find*. What ought to be the intensity of our searching and seeking? Do you recollect the “Parable of the Hidden Treasure” and “The Parable of the Pearl of Great Value”? Now you know what it this treasure. Take heed that the man had to quest for this treasure very much (this one was hidden) and, chiefly: the expenditure was extremely big: he was obliged to sell out of stuff that he had.
• *knock and the gate shall be opened to you*. What gate should we knock on? Jesus, the narrow gate (Matthew 7.13,14), in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge (Colossians 2.3), as well as the Truth that free us (John 8.32; 14.6).

So, if we aim at reaching the salvation, we ought to cry after finding the knowledge of the Creator, lift our voice for understanding His fear, but above all, we need alacrity to find His Wisdom and gritty and strength, as Joshua, so that we may be careful to do according to His Wisdom (Joshua 1.7).


Probably you are asking: but can I not ask, search and seek for other things and knock in other gates?

For what? Find the Truth and you:

• will be free (John 8.32),
• never will be athirst (John 4.13,14);
• will be light in the middle of the murkiness (Matthew 5.14-16);
• will be verily nourished by doing Father’s will (John 4.33,34; 6.51-57);
• will be dressed with mantle of praise (Isaiah 61.3);
• will be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white (namely the righteousness of the saints – Revelation 19.8),
• will be covered with the robe of righteousness (like a bridegroom adorns himself with ornaments, and like a bride adorns herself with her jewels – Isaiah 61.10);
• will be clothed with the robes of salvation (2Chronicles 6.41; Psalms 132.16; Isaiah 61.10);
• will be put on the Lord Jesus Christ and His love (Romans 13.14) and peace (John 14.27; Ephesians 2.14);
• *will be accoutered with Holy Spirit’s armor* (Ephesians 6.10-18).

Finally, as the the joy of the Creator is your strength (Nehemiah 8.10), abide by His will for you and His elation will make your face beautiful (Proverbs 15.13) and your week with affluence of boons.
