Whenever I see a YouTuber holding one up by the tail, I let them know the proper way to move them because that can hurt an adult. Usually it's by giving them space and time to leave the area like you did.
I'm pretty happy when I see one around here. I once caught a mouse in the trap in the garage and asked God if He would send a hungry opossum to get that meal. It was getting dark outside and carried it to the back yard. I had it by the tail and tossed it under my blueberry bush. Guess what I saw as soon as I let go of the tail?
A precious little momma possum with babies. The mouse booped her on the nose. I didn't even see her until I let go of the mouse!
That answer to prayer was perfectly timed and the perfect place for the perfect opossum. I prayed for that cute little one months earlier when she was just a little thing barely on her own. I prayed for her then and this was the first time I saw her since. Now she was barely grown and with her first litter.
What a special blessing.
