It depends on the cat; there are some big cats with sharp claws it does not matter the size of the animal, when they hit an animal with their claws, they are going to feel it, I have raised cats they protect good. I had one that ran a rottweiler off before also bigger cats took out mice rats, snakes, spiders etc, I am not saying they are better than Rottweilers, But there is some things Rottweilers will not attack that cats do attack cats are very smart and fast
