Hi, Everyone!

I just wanted to share a poem I wrote a little while ago. I hope that it honors the Lord, and inspires those who read it.

Earthen grounds sigh
Brightened skies dim
Drops are falling on every limb
O tis here we are standing by

People turn away
Cursing the land
Grasping for even the slightest strand
The saddened they cry no delay

Lo! Lo! Look here and see
Glowing souls are filled with a glee
How are they so? Where are hopes go?

Umbrellas they hold
Fashioned by God
They sing, they dance, their thankful songs awed
Dressed in mercy of graceful gold

Running like wind
Into the deep
Canopies open over lacking of sleep
Beseeching and reaching those whom have sinned

Outsmarting the wise
Impartial to poor
Shouting to all, with Jesus you shall soar
He is a healer of pain, no matter what it's size

Lo! Lo! Look here and see
Blind and grieving are filled with a glee
How are they so? Where are hopes go?

I hear their reply echo to the sky:

The Lord, our love
The Lord, our dove
The Lord, our beloved creator
Our hope lies in our Saviour

Thank you both of you, I actually don't normally write poetry often, but I thought I would share this piece. It's a near identical reflection of a similar poem I wrote almost two years ago as a birthday gift to a dear friend I once had. He loved poems, and we both loved the Word of God, so I felt compelled to write it to both bring a smile to my friend's face and glorify the Lord.
