I've only been saved for 3 years and I've never dated a Christian. Anyone who has dated both noticed any differences?

Yes big diffrence a non christian will draw you into back sliding.Christians should only date/marry christians. The bible commands that if we marry it should be in the Lord

Yea, some of them definitely draw you into backsliding. lol. I had to force myself to quit hanging out with the type of women I used to go for because I always get drawn into pre-marital sex/partying every time. I used to be very wild and it wasn't easy to quit that kind of thing. I probably should have been more detailed in my original post but I'm mainly just curious as to if someone being a believer is a good reason to assume that they are better mates and more trustworthy just based on that by itself. I would like to think so but I have no personal experience.

Ya I hear ya I struggled with that too in the past.I repented that lifestyle is over thank God. Before i got saved i partied alot. Just make sure when you date she is a real christian been there too, lol

Im not sure if i ever dated a real christian? But that is the past, a godly christian woman is wonderful not to be compared with worldly.Two people that really love Jesus is where its at.
I dated a non Christian guy at work before, he's nice, smart, well... I got used to going to bars because of him too but regardless, this guy respected me. He pursued law when we were dating and he just recently took the bar exam. People around me said I couldn't find somebody like him anymore. The guy who cried in front of me asking me what else does he need to do for me to accept him. The only thing I guess was, within those times of dating him even if everything seemed smooth between us, I can feel the relationship is so dry especially when we only argue about one thing...faith, and so I ended it. I never dated after that. I didn't ask God either to send somebody for me. I only prayed that if I am really for marriage may He give me to somebody who loves Him first and really has the heart to serve Him. I guess I've done something good that He heard me, and I'm happily committed with someone and contented for almost 2 years now. 
I have found non-christian women to be more outgoing and spontaneous, though some of the issues others have mentioned can appear. I will also say though that through conversations and long relationships that as far as marriage material I also have far more in common with the non-christians than the christians outside of well, christianity.
Nope. The sole fact that they call themselves Christian (and even go to church) does not mean that they will be a good partner. First of all, if they don't go to church, you can immediately exclude them. Whatever their excuse, if they can't bother to find a church family, they aren't worth getting into a relationship with. And even then...at every church I've been to (my own included) I've suspected that a large percentage of the people aren't really that concerned with having a relationship with God. It's just a social outlet for them. There are a lot of things to look for in a potential partner...but I think the best place to start is by pursuing your own relationship with God. The closer you are to God, the more discerning you will be in potential partners.

It has more to do with spiritual equivalence than if they are a Christian or not, that part's obvious. People are at different points in their walk with Christ though. You might have two electricians, one a journeyman, and the other just starting out, and they're not going to work that well together because the newbie is going to be asking questions or the Journeyman has to correct them on something. It makes the newbie feel anxious about their work, and the Journeyman annoyed. It's similar with Christian relationships. in a relationship, the woman is to be the man's most trusted advisor. It's hard to be an advisor if the person you're advising doesn't know what you're talking about, or the advisor has nothing to say. It's really hard for a man to choose a direction to go If he has no idea whom or what to consult, or when he can't rely on his other half to do anything other than look pretty. A yoke is used as it sybolizes a binding between the two that is very strong. Where one person goes, the other will be forced to go, and they can either be in equilibrium, or face abrasion and wear. If one person walks slower than the other, the cart that's being pulled, we'll call it "life", will just keep going in circles. People who are brand new to the faith will be like trying to maintain the same pace as a child. People who take bits and pieces, or aren't following in the faith will be like walking with the crippled. Granted, a non-believer will be like a dead weight at the back of the cart. A person just being a Christian is the most important foundation, but it goes beyond that if you want a smooth (er) running machine. This goes for non-romantic relationships as well.

God can lead you to marry anyone cus through marriage you can bring someone to faith. If Prophet Hosea could get married to a hooker (it's in the bible) cus God told him to.. then I don't see why wouldn't you date someone non-christian if it's God's will. But I Would rather date someone who would appreciate God. Cus God is the only part of me that is the most important thing to consider and respect.

Umm... Jesusfreak, Hosea is an allegory of Christ and the church. It's not to be taken literally.

Well, the last non-Christian I dated was a long time ago. And she was like the Queen of the Gentiles. Into BurningMan and Gay Activism and Women's Reproductive rights and save the Lemmings and whatever silly crusade that we fought about.
Without an agreed upon sense of what is good and noble, I grieved over things in my short relationship with her. We would be hanging out and this sick feeling would come over me. Like In the old testament where they talk about how Joshua and the Israelites would feign retreat only to lure an army away from its city, to have its soldiers turn around and see their homes and their families Burning.
I felt like everything I loved was taken from within me. It was the feeling of betraying my own soul.
So yeah, I don't recommend it.
