Christian Cafe wasn't too big, but it was a truly Christian dating site. There were no options for separated people to date or homosexual matching. I enjoyed it while I had the free trial period to use it.

I think the way many dating websites operate are scammy and many Christian ones can be christian in name only.

How many are endorsed by pastors or churches? are they run by pastors wives or matchmaking aunties?

Do they take credit cards and run? The dates, do they actually arrange them or do you have to DIY. I notice none of them hold dances where people can go to actually find a partner.

the cafe date was popular many years ago, but now cafes are noisy and expensive to go to, and to find a genuine Christian one can be hard, like looking for a needle in a haystack. Its almost as bad as making a camel go through the eye of a needle.

People seem to be so desperate now (or maybe their parents are) that they will go on tv blind date shows and get humiliated that way. Its never fun to see peoples hopes dashed and dreams shattered and jilted, but it keep tv ratings up.

Which dating website is everyone using? I have tried Match, OKcupid, and ChristianMingle. I don't like ChristianMingle, maybe because I'm not using it correctly. They guys on my "Browse" page have not been updated in years. There are also not too many matches. The other two sites has more guys, but of course most of them are non-Christian.
hi how are you?

I have never used a dating site. I never felt the limited information provided the necessary information I sought in a prospect. I have engaged with a few on a forum I frequented in the past. We were in the same circles and others had lived to tell after meeting them.

While I don’t do so anymore, it was a useful medium for vetting. And most don’t expect that measure of scrutiny. I had a significant span of time at my dispense and could see their train of thought unencumbered. I looked for inconsistencies, notable remarks, growth, and temperament.

I think it’s important to go under the hood. That’s difficult on a venue where everyone puts their best foot forward and is rarely transparent. They can also be a time drain if you’re inundated with inquiries from men who aren’t your type.
