Wednesday 4-19-23 4th. Day Of The Weekly Cycle Nisan 27, 5783 31st. Spring Day

Day 12 – Abib 27 – April 19 - Hod of Gevurah: Humility in Discipline

Ps. 119:89-96, Col. 1:10-12

The results of discipline and might without humility are obvious. The greatest catastrophes have occurred as a result of people sitting in arrogant judgment of others. Am I arrogant in the name of justice (what I consider just)? Do I ever think that I sit on a higher pedestal and bestow judgment on my subjects below? What about my children? Students?

Exercise for the day: Before judging anyone, insure that you are doing so selflessly with no personal bias

“Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.

Judge not, and ye shall not be judged:

condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned:

forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:

give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall be given into your bosom.

For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭6:36-38‬ ‭

“For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living.

But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, And every tongue shall confess to God. So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.

Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother's way.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭14:9-13‬ ‭KJV‬‬

One of the greatest aspects of the gospel is that all judgement of a believer is done by Jesus who died to save them. Under the law the people it eases against one another accused and condemned one another they were commanded to judge and kill each other for thier sins based on the written law of Moses adulterers must be stoned to death someone that picks up a stick on a sabbath must be killed by the congregation ect ect burn then with fire hang then from trees on and on strangle them cut them asunder

in the New Testament only Jesus Christ can judge us each one
