I had a dream last night that I still remember vividly this morning. I think it was to reinforce a lesson from the Bible that says that the death to the old self and flesh is what God wants and we should not be deceived by the lies of the enemy to believe otherwise......
So the dream starts with me searching for my beloved and I find another girl who tells me this story about how he did a spell and turned himself into clams so that he could swim across the lake safely because there was a person who hated him in the lake and he needed to be in disguise to make it across. She told me he needed my help and showed me how to find and collect those mussels. So in a boat I floated after them and ended up on an island and there were crabs trying to pry open the mussels and eat the flesh. I was terrified because the thought of "how can he be put back together if the crabs eat all his flesh?" enter my mind and dwelt in my heart. I was so gullible. I had forgotten God's lesson about flesh.
So the dream turned graphic two men joined in and they changed the clams into body parts and tried to assemble my beloved back together again. then an aunt came in a boat looking for me. I felt ashamed and my hands had the blood of his unbeating fleshly heart on it. One of the men had handed it to me and he told me he found it discarded. I tried to hide but my aunt found me and called out to me.
my head hung down I told her of my quest for my beloved and she told me he was back home with my mother. She would take me there. I was over joyed but still deceived and silent on what happened on the island. I was hopeful but unbelieving that he was ok and whole. So when I found him on my mother's couch tired and sick I thought he must be missing some parts of himself. I convinced him to go for a boat ride with me and took him back to that island.
When we arrived my beloved awoke and said "why have you brought me here? this is the place I have been trying to escape. Satan is the king of this island."
The man who handed me my beloved's heart smiled and his eyes turned to those of a demon. His voice echoed and he spoke through his human vessel. He grabbed a knife and sought to do us harm but we had not touch foot on his island yet and my eyes were opened. I covered the ears of my beloved to their evil chanting and sung a hymn and headed back home.
I felt guilty for being deceived and trying to take him back to site of his torture but he had already forgiven me and fallen asleep as we drifted back home on a still calm sea.
it is still on my heart and mind and these Bible verses are the ones that come to mind...
Ezekiel 11:19
Then I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within them, and take the stony heart out of their flesh, and give them a heart of flesh,
Ezekiel 18:31
Cast away from you all the transgressions which you have committed, and get yourselves a new heart and a new spirit. For why should you die, O house of Israel?
John 3:6-8
New King James Version (NKJV)
6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ 8 The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.”
maybe I'll remember them the next time I'm tested. May God bless you and keep you.
