Oh no no no no. Don't ever think your words are being READ per se. He's only scanning for the next thing he can argue against. He will never, ever, EVER allow any of your arguments to percolate through.

I feel like I'm an evolutionist watching a debate between a creationist and Ayn Rand. I can't agree with the other side of the argument because I don't believe in a single thing he is saying, but he's a nice guy. I can't agree with my own side because the person propounding my side is a jerk.

I have not heard of such a debate. The most famous one I know of is when Ken Ham dropped a few Truth bombs on that weiner bill nye. That wasn't even a contest, kinda like fighting with shittim .
So out of curiosity, whatever caused you to move this debate to this particular thread? It feels like a conversation that was started in another thread and shifted to here. What made you pick this one? It seems to have nothing at all to do with your argument.

I posted that to remind us that without Mary, there is no prime example of how to be a Holy, Righteous woman. She SHOULD be venerated, and in all honesty I dont know the Catholic or Orthodox viewpoint on this, but my own heart desires she be the judge of women. Are men supposed to be the only righteous human beings?

I should, for the sake of conscience, mention that this is not really the best thing to do. Arguing about praying to Mary, in a forum that has a publicly stated stance against such RCC doctrine, is deliberately antagonistic. You should probably be banned or something.

I can't really see where that would help the OP (original poster.) Mary was in the upper room with the disciples and the rest. Mary needed the Holy Spirit just like everyone else did.

i noticed in the past that a lot of people use the word "arguing". maybe it's not that. how about "discussing"? sometimes we allow ourselves to read into a posting & think right away that it is of an argumentative nature. let's all be careful to apply wisdom.
