September 2016, February 2020, April 2020 and February 2021 Four of my family members died. Not of covid or any other "common disease". The first died from Leukemia - two years after they moved to the bomb ridden Las Vegas area - the radio activity did her in. I ended up in the hospital with "broken heart syndrome". Yes that is a real health issue! (I had had a heart attack myself back in April of that year too).
The two in 2020 were only a couple months apart. Everyone took those hard. But the worse was the last one... that could have been avoided.
She was speeding and hit an electric pole. She and her friend were killed instantly.
It doesn't matter whose fault or the how it happened's.... only that it did. Death hurts. It doesn't matter who you are or where you live. It affects us all in some way or another.
What keeps me going is what God tells us in His word. We will see them again. They are only sleeping.
1 Corinthians 15:51 - 54 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
1 Thessalonians 4:13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
Just thought I'd share. I pray for all of you who have lost a loved one. Be at peace as they are (asleep) and will awaken at His coming.
