How then does this part "by the name YHWH was I not known to them" make sense?
God does not say things without meaning. They have prayed to Him saying El Shaddai and not saying the word "YHWH" as the verse says.
Else the verse has no meaning at all.
The previous books have been translated into Hebrew.
Abraham apparently didnt speak in Hebrew but the books have been written by Moses, who did, so he substituted the words Abraham used for YHWH. Else the verse is lying.

So the text is not an accurate account but rather words have been supplied and added?

So they just went in and added YHWH 6000+ times?

it would be like 2000 years from now. The only biblical texts anyone could find was written in english. People would be saying Gods name is Lord. and the greeks would be screaming, no that was just an english translation of what was origionaly written.

While im not condemning any who don't know the name of Yahweh, it is a right thing to promote and use His Name, well, if you ask Him:

Tbh Yashua sounds strange to me, when I say strange I mean as in foreign... too big language barreer. I use it but rarely. It just doesnt feel home. I came to Jesus and I continue to call Him so. Not once I felt it was disrespectful. If you did feel that, good for you that you're following your conviction.
Oddly, YHWH and Yah does not feel foreign to me so I use these often.
I disdain the legalism of Hebrew roots movement. They also made Hebrew repulsive to me but I decided to disregard it for His sake and not get trapped into judging based on outward appearance because of what some people are doing. God does not take offense that I call Him Jesus, if He took offense with me, I'd feel and know that very well! There's no worse feeling for me than when He is offended or angry.
Wish people would stop judging others on things that are apparently not the matter of salvation. (not talking about you here, but there are many out there on the WWW)

Much better result would be opening some sort of praise thread and have every poster praise God and post a praise song too maybe, using His Hebrew name (one of). That way everybody learns something, everybody praises God, everybody joins in praise, nobody is condemned, nobody is opposing anybody. Because people have nothing against calling God with Hebrew names and learning, but they do against being condemned.

Yah woke me up/called me before I knew His Name. (I had heard it but didn't look into it)

I do believe that pronunciation has to be perfect for Him to know, He is the Most High, He knows all and there is even Scripture to support this
