10 The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.

This verse (Psalm 110) is not clear to me in my translation. I think it's saying (Father) said to the (Son). Can anyone speak to this?

You are wrong on so many levels..but again I ask, why do you feel obligated to post on threads not to your liking? There are many threads I could derail for reason of "me". If we truly have consideration for one another we do not try to impose our will on them. Some of us do not have all day to read thru the back and forth whining/bickering. Please, go ahead and have the last word if you want and I will focus on these wonderful verses posted here today.:)

By all means, hope you thoroughly enjoy them, since you evidently can read foreign languages. :)

Psa 110:1 YHWH said unto my Master, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.

That's what it looks like, in that the Father is talking to the Son, speaking of making the enemies of His Kingdom the footstool of ha'Mashiah.

Thank you, maxwel. But I'm not gonna derail this thread further.. Karraster obviously doesn't understand the point I'm trying to get across. :)

Maxwell is also correct, don't try to chase people out just because you don't agree, but simply plant the seeds, and let the Ruah or Yah do the watering.

Long mistranslated and misunderstood.

Karraster,

It's also extremely disingenuous to point at a disagreement,
and then label the person disagreeing with you as
"imposing their will on others".

YOU disagree with people all the time.
So when YOU do it it's fine, but when some else does it,
it's "imposing their will"?

God has many names in the Bible.
Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
There are many others too listed in the Bible...

His name shall NOT be called: buddha, shiva, satan, jupiter, apollo or whatever such.
These names do not save, only His name does. And name is more than a verbal name. His name represents identity of His and His glory: like Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace, etc.
I call God Yah or Yahweh often but I also call Him these other Biblical names or something that personally means to me and gives Him glory and thanks. One thing is liking and favoring His name in Hebrew. But if you are saying that somebody calling Jesus "Jesus" and not calling His name strictly in Hebrew is not going to be saved, then sorry, I have to say that this is one more legalistic cult...

This is a heavenly, prophetic conversation God is revealing to David, where Jehovah or Yahweh is saying to David's Lord, the Messiah or Adonay (Jesus Christ at the right hand of God the Father) to sit at Jehovah's right hand, until the consummation of the ages, when Christ will rule.

Ladybug, no offense meant, but the word god is nothing more than a title, it is not an actual name.
How would you feel if everyone called you by the title woman, instead of your name?

I don't believe YHWH is the name of God in the same way Barack Obama is the name of the president. Since YHWH means "I am" or "I am that I am", I think YHWH is more than a name, it's an expression of who or what God is: He IS. Unlike us, he is the existence itself and beyond existence. To think that YHWH is the proper name of God (like Jupiter was the name of a roman god) is, in my opinion, to limit God.

If you study the Torah, and research the Paleo Hebrew for the original information, you might not think that.

"eyer asher eyer" means I am that I am.

"scholars" say YHWH means "the self-existent One"

I personally take this as the meaning:

Exodus 34:5-7, "Then Yahweh descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the Name of YAHWEH. Yahweh passed in front of him, and proclaimed: YAHWEH, YAHWEH Almighty, merciful and compassionate, longsuffering, and abounding in righteousness and truth. Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity, and transgression, and sin; but by no means leaving unpunished those who are guilty; Who visits the sin of the fathers upon the children and the children's children, to the third and fourth generation."

If you study the Torah, and research the Paleo Hebrew for the original information, you might not think that.
See, this is what I'm saying. Not everyone knows how to decipher foreign languages, therefore they may not be able to read the Torah or read the Paleo Hebrew.. In summation, they will not understand what is said!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHY is that so hard to understand?!!!

Don't let it bug you, Bug! It's a whole lot to do over nothing, the Hebrew roots fad that's sucked in some. God gave us reliable Bibles, your New Testament written in Greek, His name is Jesus translated into English, the Lord is the Lord, God is God. There are a lot of cults that cater to self righteous people, who need to parade as God's special little creatures.

;)THANK GOD I have an English bible!! lol :)

IMHO, this has been a totally fruitless thread. God bless you all.

Except for the question about Psalms 110, verse 1 by the way, it's a complete waste, but also, worse, is pernicious, tries to cast doubts as to peoples' beliefs, cast doubts over the integrity of the Bible. It's pure cult rubbish, lacking any authentic scholarship, just as Hebrew roots people are compete fakes, gentiles some sort of weird Jew-lite pretend Jew, with an invented religion that's neither Judaism or Christianity.

A bunch of the SDAs tried to get me banned, for calling out their Ellen White teachings they were trying to work on people, in secret. They were livid at being exposed as to simply what they are! The cults like to try to bully. They put on airs of being God's true chosen, etc. They put on airs of having special knowledge. But the truth is, they're frauds, spreading lies.

This is actually not a "debate" but simply declaring His name before the people.
I seek to give glory, honor and praise to His name.

You do not think I do?

Again, God has many names. Calling out only his hebrew name is not somethign special. or somethign that will get you brownie points, Although some of the poeple in here need all the brownie points they can get so they can get to heaven (according to their belief system) it still will make them no more holy or loved than anyone else who is his child. Who calls him by his english, or french, or greek name.

God is a personal God. not an impersonal God. That is the pagan Gods.
