Hello, needing help and curious if anyone knows someone who works in deliverance ministry? Thanks
 
I believe she is speaking of deliverance as in deliverance from illness, pain, struggles or maybe even demonic stuff. I could be wrong though
 
Deliverance Ministries are ministries that emphasize on demonic possession and casting out demons. Typically the same people get the same "demons" cast out regularly. Everything is demonic. Demon of nicotine addiction etc. So basically any sin you struggle with you have to cast the demon out over and over. Also a great way to deny personal responsibility for your actions.

I believe she may be talking about an addiction of some sort. I have learned that these things are demonic influence, or even possession if that person cannot stop what they are doing. the devil uses them at will.

Interesting, I have heard of the very same thing except people blamed it on alcohol
 
These demons that have to be cast out over and over again is because once the house is empty and clean, it has not been replaced by the right occupant ,which is the holy ghost. they com back, and see the house empty, they move back in,and the condition gets worse.
 
Proclaim Christ - He is our deliverance. Shine the light of Christ Himself and darkness flees and dissipate like when the sun when it shines on the midst in the morning.

I've heard Hillary Clinton was going to be the next POTUS. And then I learned the truth.

We hear a lot of things. Sometimes it's good to weigh the difference between hearsay and truth.

Yep, that about it!

Unfortunately these self appointed "deliverers" don't recognise that you CAN'T cast out the works of the flesh! Gal 5v19-21

The cure for the works of the flesh is truth, repentance, prayer, God's grace and self-discipline.

I had to look "deliverance ministry" up on the interenet. "Cleansing a person of demons and evil spirits"? If a person repents of their sin, demons and evil spirits can't get into his head.

Deliverance Ministries – The Dangerous Results
A shift of blame: Deliverance ministry shifts the blame for sin, addiction, and other struggles to the demonic. This is an unhealthy and unbiblical way of dealing with sin. Instead, a believer is called to repent and surrender to God. Our wickedness comes from the heart (Mark 7:20-23), as well as from the flesh (Galatians 5:19-21), even without the aid of demons. We are called to "crucify" fleshly desires and reckon them as dead, walking in the strength of the Holy spirit instead (Titus 2:11-14; Galatians 5:24, Colossians 3:3-5).

An unbiblical view of God’s sovereignty and a distorted theology of the Holy Spirit: Deliverance ministries deny the Lord’s power over Satan and actually grant the illusion of Satan having greater strength over the Lord than he really has. Deception has a high price that can enslave many into having a false assurance and relationship with Christ, as spoken from Himself in Matthew 7:15-23. To teach that the Holy Spirit can share the same temple along with demons would certainly be a house divided as well as come dangerously close to blaspheming Christ who indwells the believer (2 Corinthians 6:14-16).

A dangerous preoccupation with the demonic: God calls believers to be preoccupied with Him, not obsessed with things that oppose Him (Romans 8:5-8). Those involved with deliverance ministry have reported that they become dependent on their deliverance minister as the solution to their possession. It fostered paranoia rather than peace and security.

A false view of salvation: Many in the deliverance ministry misunderstand Jesus’ death on the cross. The Bible very clearly says that Christ’s work on the cross was sufficient. Further deliverance is not necessary. To teach otherwise gives the impression that Christ’s work is incomplete.

And yet, the New Testament give numerous warnings about not allowing the devil in...
