many want to profess having a deliverance ministry for not teaching true deliverance meaning a life in the spirit a life of abstinence of sin to live a pious and truthful life. the truth is at these deliverance ministries do nothing but share Devils transfer their infirmities into another . through the imposition of hands meaning because their lives are unclean undelivered themselves and position in their hands on one another transferring there on cleanliness to one another basking in each other sins .bringing to the remembrance the scripture saying and many shall saying to me on that day didn't we perform many miracles and in your name cast out devils and I will turn to them and say away with you doers of iniquity I never knew you. a true disciple will never speak against the commandments of God a true disciple will be God's Word faithfully in this life and the NEXt a true disciple week would be a doer of God's word

Really? Many want to profess having a delivery ministry? I don't even know what it is, especially after you described what it is.

The stuff I learn on this site.

Deliverance ministries casting out of devils . are you new
Define "new." 59. Been a believer for 43 years. Is that new? (I wonder how many on here can say, "Yes, that's new." I can think of a few. lol)

Actually, the few times I've heard of demons cast out, it was just something that happened at church services. Many want to do that? Really? Seems kind of creepy to go out of your way to do it.

And how do you convince someone with demons to go to a deliverance service? Seems like the last thing a demon would want to do.

Silly Bee, you have them make an appointment first and make sure they fast at least 6 hours before showing up...and oh, paper or plastic?

actually yes there really are a lot of wannabe 'deliverance ministers' who fancy themselves to be exorcists and demon hunters...

Let's hope there is no demon of run-on sentences and lack of punctuation. I think there is more likely a non-supernatural explanation for that one.

Casting out demons IS in the Bible. The idea of transferring spirits by the laying on of hands is NOT in the Bible. The Bible never teaches if someone lays hands on you that, you are at risk, spiritually. Though there are some examples of people being imprisoned after their imprisoners laid hands on them.

Casting out demons out of a demonized person is a legitimate ministry. The fact that some people will come to Jesus claiming to have done so, whether they have or have not done so, and will be rejected as workers of iniquity, doesn't do away with the fact that Jesus and His disciples cast out demons, or that Jesus told His disciples not to rebuke those casting out demons in His name, for those who are not against us are for us.

Casting out demons is not the cure all. If I dropped something on my foot, I don't think casting a demon of injured foot out of my foot would likely do any good. I could pray for the foot. And if someone is totally demonized and the demon is cast out, the person needs to repent, believe in Jesus, be filled with the Spirit, and walk worthy as a disciple. Casting the demon out doesn't cure all these things. Casting a demon out doesn't give the individual deep knowledge of the word of God or guaranteed victory over all temptation.

I agree that some people treat casting out demons like a cure all. But I don't see any Biblical basis for being afraid that if someone touches you, you might get a demon or for suspecting that those who cast out demons must be evil.

There is a warning to the one doing the laying on of hands not to be too hasty in the laying on of hands. Timothy was apparently appointing bishops and deacons. There was the laying on of hands for healing, and the laying on of hands related to separating or ordaining someone to ministry. The one who does this too hastily may share in the guilt of a leader who falls into error or sin.

And this sentence didn't bother you too?
true deliverance meaning a life in the spirit a life of abstinence of sin to live a pious and truthful life.

Might just be me, but if someone has to have abstinence of sin, I'm thinking no one but Jesus could remove spirits from people. Or minimal, someone has to catch on to being real about the truth.

I know about demon casting done it myself but to call it a deliverance when the person is still the same wicked person is not good . a true casting of devils is dangerous if not done by a rightful prepared person there can be an infection instead of a deliverance this I do know about and this is the very basis of this thread to make aware this . a clean and Pius life is exorted if one is to pursue this property know ledge must be learned , there are genuine casting of devils but to focus on this than true biblical deliverance is ignorance . one young man is still seeking deliverance. But to this day will not receive it because he will not forgive his father and by doing so curses his own life forgiveness is a basis for true deliverance and salvation

please don't take this the wrong way - because sometimes i am just silly -

but is part of "preparedness" having a herd of pigs around?

;)

yes.

But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.
(Matthew 6:15)

Then the master called the servant in.
‘You wicked servant,’
he said,
‘I canceled all that debt of yours because you begged me to. Shouldn’t you have had mercy on your fellow servant just as I had on you?’
In anger his master handed him over to the jailers to be tortured, until he should pay back all he owed.
This is how my heavenly Father will treat each of you unless you forgive your brother or sister from your heart.
(Matthew 18:32-35)

Deliverance whaaaa?
Im thinkin dueling banjos...dueling demons
Nooooo to early for this thread
I need coffee
Sorry

There is only One "Deliverer" and anyone that points to men and what they must do instead of Christ and what He has done? I doubt they bring much "deliverance" to anyone.

Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them to call over them which had evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth. And there were seven sons of one Sceva, a Jew, and chief of the priests, which did so.
And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye?
And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.

I am confused as to the purpose of this thread

First of all, the Bible does not indicate a 'deliverance ministry' kicking demons out, is supposed to be the ability of ALL Christians

Focusing on demons will only result in confusion because they are ALL great big dirty gigantic liars...can't believe a thing they say

Yeah, I felt like taking oxygen after reading through the OP. "COME UP FOR AIR, for cryin' out loud!"

So, serious? You go around demon hunting? So you abstain from sin?

And you think it's a viral, like HCV? Get any on you and you get infected?

And you think because some guy is ticked at his dad, he's got demons? Ever give the guy a good enough reason to forgive his dad? Seems like an easier approach. Added bonus: It's actually biblical and biblically sound. (God forgives.)

And, Angela has a good point -- what are you trying to accomplish here? Teaching other demon hunters?

I have a tragic story. Years ago I was holding revivals. God would deliver folks from childhood scars. The forgiveness message.
Tried to get into this one assembly telling the self appointed one how God was moving in my meetings.

Now get this. He told me 'his' (note the possessiveness) people aren't ready for that yet. Read that last line again. Think on it. I'm going to lunch. Be back in a bit.

Im back. Did you get it yet? Don't lie to me now. Did you really get it?

Ok, I'll explain it. What he said in essence was that God the Holy Spirit could not be trusted with 'his' ( there's that ownership deal again) people. God might screw up. After all this ego maniac said the folks were not ready for such a move of God yet!

Like God couldn't figure that out. But how does this Pharisee know that for sure.

Iill give you a clue here. Let's cut to the chase. He's like most self appointees. Scared to death that God might use someone else's ministry in a powerful way. I've seen this time and time again. Jealousy is a killer. I've gotten the boot outta the sInagogue more than once. And no I wasn't teaching against tithing or the clerical travesty. I was still blind to it.

These 'pastors' would rather the folks stay in bondage than have another ministe, that have paid their dues, come in and the Holy Spirit set the people free.
Welcome to the apostate 'church'!
