No Nation/Government/Military personnel can FORCE ANYONE to do what is against their beliefs...........IF THEY HAVE THE COURAGE TO STAND UP AND REFUSE! Yes, they must be prepared to face the consequences of their decision to STAND FOR WHAT THEY BELIEVE..........but that is what Scripture says they are to do......
No one can FORCE another to do such as this........
So much for the separation of church and state in a democracy like Denmark. I don't think a lot of gay couples will insist on having their relationship blessed or consecrated (or whatever) in church though, because Demark is a highly secularized country anyway. The secularization of western countries is something that should worry us much more than some gays wanting to be 'married' in church. Hey, let's look on bright side; a conservative priest/minister may be forced to 'marry' a gay couple, but no one can force him to give a positive sermon at the occasion; a great opportunity for him to 'say his say,' based on scripture. So I guess a gay couple will think twice before they INSIST on being 'married' in conservative churches.
A good point Didymos. of course it may be against the law to say anything negative against homosexuality. That is what happens in a totalitarian state, so everyone needs to use the term democracy very loosely with Denmark.

It amazes me that emotion has overwhelmed common sense in our government. This is not going to change unless people want to live life on their own and stop thinking we are all one step from disaster.
