I sometimes wonder if many of those who likes to judge and rejoice when other people agrees with them, if it is all done 'cause they need affirmation by others or so...? To me it can really look like this way, since so many likes to make jokes and bashing out other Christians on here or those who have become known, or rich, etc...

Sometimes I think it is all done 'cause of an need many Christians have within them of who will agree with them, and who will not. And those who agrees with them, God bless them, and those who doesn't, God help them, etc... Yes, we love it when others understands us and agrees with what we say, still, if someone doesn't, should this affect us, or make us become angry back towards them? If we become too much in need for getting affirmation from other Christians most of the time, then whenever they disappoint or upset us we will feel as a burden gets put upon us, since we expected them to always be of support for what we think and beleive in.

I beleive God is teaching me to not become too much in need for affirmation given by other Christians or people, it is still very difficult for me at times, since I do feel like I need getting together with people and talk out about a lot. Though it is good for us to meeting people and talking with them, it is also good to remain strong rooted in God's Word, as well as in what God reveals for us, and what He calls us to be doing in our lives. And just to keeping in mind to not depending too much on humans that we meet and befriend, what matters most is depending ourselves most on God, and becoming lead by Him in every way.

Amen!!! Yes indeed, we cannot put our trust in whether people agree or not.

I am a witness that if I had done that, I would have never spoken a word EVER concerning the truth about Jesus. In fact, I had friends, and lost them because of the truth Jesus has shown me. What makes me sad is not that they don't agree, but that they do not understand the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Much of what he has shown me, MANY MANY MANY people, including some Christians would be offended, and call me a liar and demon possessed and blasphemer, as some have, but my hope is not in people, but in GOD!! IN JESUS CHRIST!!

That is why I am thankful the Lord withdrew me from men, so that He could teach me His truth, which is JESUS CHRIST!! Rooted and Grounded in the LOVE OF JESUS CHRIST!!

As followers of Christ, we can expect to be strongly disagreed with, even persecuted, even hated, even KILLED!

May Jesus bless you and continue to reveal more of himself to you.

A good word, Mrs. Sunflower! I have noticed that as well, and that is the explanation behind my current signature. I haven't felt led to change it for several weeks, which is probably a personal record.........:D God Bless! (and not just because I agree with you :p)

Thank you for the responses. I first thought I might not get any responses at all, not that it would matter so much to me, since I do are stuck on what I said. ;) But thanks for taking a bit time responding to this. God's Blessings! :)

Just wanted to revive this thread again; As a reminder for myself of what I should keep on doing. As I happen to fail thinking I'm able of being myself, and perhaps finding more friends among other Christians. Though, it seems like others either sees or thinks of me being naive(not agreeing with that part, since I've been going quite heavy stuff through my past, also 'cause of being a Christian, but thanks to God, He is the reason I keep on going on with this life)or that I am seen as maybe being to direct about my faith in Christ.

Still; I do see more Christians sharing their faith with others and they do get much support or positive feedback from others. Or perhaps I am a lot stronger than that, so that I know I can stand on my feet in Christ Jesus and can manage walking on without too much support nor feedback back to me? Or perhaps it is just my different wishes in God for the future as well as not being in same position as many others, and most other Christians prefers supporting those they feel they have much similiar in commun with, or they prefer encouraging and uplifting others not being in the same level as them? Seem to me it has a lot with who is in the same level and who isn't.

I somehow don't feel like belonging anywhere, though as Christians we do are supposed having some form of connection in some way too. Or it can be that God is preparing me and teaching me more to keep on depending most on Him, and to learn the real truth of when depending on most other people, whether they are Christian or not, will only bring me more down. Whether they are aware of it or not, only God truly know me and knows whenever I am in need for affirmation or not. But the thing is to keep on learning to stay away from such needs from other Christians, or to expecting too much from them. Still; I myself love to build up and encourage another Christians, but I guess that's a whole other story, when it goes away from me, and over to someone else's need. I need to keep on reminding myself of God being the one to filling up all of my needs, and when He leads I am to do the same to whoever He is leading me to.

So might be that it is best for me to stop going this site; Might be that God is just warning me, and that I am ready to going over to the next level: "Away from this kinda comfort zone, and preparing myself to learn standing on and depending only on God the most.

God's Blessings All!

HI Ms. Sunflower:

I think the focus should be on God and His truth. It doesn't matter if we agree with others or not. I find that we should comfort each other and not because we agree with the other person but because we all seek God and His ways. It is more an affirmation that we are walking on a path that leads to God. A way to battle doubt and build up faith but our faith should always be based on GOD and Prayer and inner faith not outer words of assurance we hear from others.

the words should lead us to pray and ask God personally HIS will for us, not to just take the surface reassurance and continue with our merry way but to stop and pray and seek again God and His ways.

Sometimes I have found that I stand in a busy building and I feel the most alone as the people walk by without a smile or a kind word for another but busy busy busy be it at school or a shopping mall it is not the presence of people or the absence of people that makes me feel isolated but the presence of God and His spirit in a place.

I see God's love when another comforts and offers their time and love to speak to someone else. I see God's love in the actions and the words of His children and it makes me happy. God tells us it makes Him happy as well.

Seeking to speak and understand God's will is not a bad thing. I think sound doctrine will root us in Christ so that we can not be toss like waves at every wind that tries to blow us off the path God has ordained, but in the end it should be the HOLY SPIRIT that affirms and you should be worried about obtaining agreement and approval from. It should be done in the prayer closet so that you might have words worthy of sharing with your brethren to comfort, exhort and edify others as you meditate upon God's commandments and His Holy Written Words.

May you be blessed Sunflower and may your day Bring God's light to the lives of all you meet and they reassure and comfort you in His love and truth.

Ephesians 5:18-21
New King James Version (NKJV)
18 And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, 19 speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, 20 giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, 21 submitting to one another in the fear of God.[a]

Mrs. Sunflower, if you are referring to people not agreeing with you on this site, then please let me assure you that I think that you give very good answers. You are very tactful, gentle, kind and insightful. I don't usually post my agreement with others (that's why I wish we had a "like" button), and you can only give a couple of rep points out to each member before the site cuts you off. But I nearly always agree with you, really. Sometimes you even save me from needing to post, because your message is exactly what I would have said. Please don't leave the site, unless you're sure that God wants you to. I would miss you! :(. Love, Nicole

It is almost like I am talking to myself!!! WOW!

My friend!! MY GOOD FRIEND!! I feel like I have known you forever!! Really!

This is that tug that I feel constantly! I believe this is the tug Paul felt when he said that on one hand he has a desire to depart and go be with Jesus Christ, but on the other hand he has a desire to stay, for their sake.

They only one I fit in with is Jesus Christ, and even then I feel that I am not as close to him as I should be. Like this world is far away, but that my Lord is far away also. This could be that middle you feel. My entire being loathes to be with him, and I am sure that many righteous people have been in the middle. David also was in the middle. Many prophets were in the middle. I tell you the truth, Jesus Christ was in the middle!!!

I wonder if I will always be drawing nigh. My friend, I could understand the heart of David, because I heard that heart come out of me. When I felt this way, I moaned and cried out to the Lord. Like when David said, ''Lord, don't hide your face from me!!''

But, NEVERTHELESS!! AMEN!! NEVERTHELESS!!

Though he slay me, YET WILL I TRUST HIM!!

I guess I might be impatient, but I am ready to start going out, but I am not ready yet. I know it, but I pray I will be ready. That word ''steadfast'' must mean a lot more than I think it means.

May Jesus bless you.
