Jesus was 100% human and 100% God. This is because the soul inside the human body was Deity. Just like your soul is in your body, but your soul is not God.

Your soul is partially comprised of your body, according to Scripture.

He wasn’t God "veiled" in a human body.
Hebrews 10:20
By a new and living way, which He hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, His flesh;

John 1:14
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory,
the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Trinity Doctrine: One divine Being yet three Persons.
Christology: Christ had two natures; God and man

Three Persons; one of whom was both God and man.

The nature which was man died but God did not die. The proof is that God resurrected him.

John 2:19 Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.”

Fully grasping the intricacies of the Trinity and the Incarnation are beyond our mortal minds, though.

By the way a 15 year old asked me some of these same questions. He was being attacked by Muslim classmates who asked a similar question. The fact that we can't totally understand it points to the marvelous wonder of the Trinity doctrine and also the Incarnation. We can state what the Bible says about it, but totally comprehending how it can be is impossible for us.

This topic was discussed in the Bible study room the other night. Someone remarked that God is a man. I know Christ is a man, and Christ is also God, but to state that God is a man is counter-scriptural. However, it seemed as if much of the room agreed with this statement!

You might want to read Forgotten Trinity by James White on this topic. It's the best laymen level book on the topic.

First God made Adam's body- it was a complete human body. THEN God breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and he became a living being (a soul inside a body).

Genesis 2:7
And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

This means that just as in the Old Testament, behind the veil where only the high priest could enter God's dwelling, He our new high priest tore that separating curtain away so that those in the holy place may now enter the most holy place- which is heaven- Gods dwelling place.

Yes, because before God put the soul in the body he wasn't alive

What I find curious is why there are so many questions around this
Somone may get revelation of a scripture that Is not related to this thread If they can understand the difference between spirit, soul and body.:)

Oh brother. That isn't saying that He was God veiled in a human body, but that by His death on the cross He has opened the way for us into the Most Holy of Holies.

Spirit is attitude/personality, you can change your attitude, but you can't change your soul. Your soul is who you are.

His body was a veil of flesh. You may reject the way that is worded, but it is what Scripture says. I understand the whole message, pertaining to the curtain being torn at the time His physical body was torn from His spirit through death on the cross. His death made possible our reconciliation to God.
