You have not even one verse that shows that God did not tell Hosea to marry a prostitute,
or that she had to be repentant to be married, not yet a prostitute, or even a virgin.

No, Deuteronomy 22:28 is not talking how one can marry a practicing prostitute. You are adding to God's Word. The verse does not say that nor does it imply such a thing. It's saying that if a woman accepts a man's strong sexual advances and they be found together, then he is to give money to her father to marry her. This of course supports the Biblical model of marriage (i.e. a covenant between a man and a woman).

To Jason, The Cult of Fundamentalism teaches that : "God is is good all the time". This is false! God is VERY BAD to human as well as VERY GOOD to humans, all the time. For evil (i.e. the devil's kingdom) might trip up a believer on occasion with sin; However, the Lord is merciful and good and helps a believer to get back up and to walk in His good ways. He is a friend and will listen to them and their struggle with desiring to overcoming sin.

• (a) Jesus is also the perfecter of our faith whereby we allow Him to do the good work within us. We are not saved by works in and of themselves but true faith (or a good tree) will always prove itself to be true by allowing Spirit directed works (or good fruit) to flow within our life.

• (b) We are happy to continue to live out our faith. For we know that without faith it is impossible to please Him; And whatever is not of faith is sin.

• (c) If we slip up into sin (on occasion), we have an advocate named Jesus Christ whereby we can confess our sins and be cleansed of all unrighteousness.

• (d) We are being perfected in being conformed to the image of Christ. We are glorifying God's righteousness thru our lives. For man was created in God's image and we are to conform to Christ's image, who is God.

Glorification:

For evil (i.e. the devil's kingdom) is put under His feet and crushed once and for all. All evil will be eradicated and destroyed. It will be conquered.

• (a) Jesus is finally the finisher of our faith and He will deliver us from this body of death in the resurrection (And by taking us to an incorruptible Kingdom of God).

• (b) Jesus will deliver us from this sinful world (By taking us to an incorruptible Kingdom of God).

• (c) Jesus will destroy all forms of darkness and sin (i.e. the devil's kingdom) whereby we will no longer be tempted. Good will win over evil in the End and God will be glorified in being the Victor. For one cannot be the Victor or a Conquerer without an enemy to be conquered. Now, does this mean that God created an adversary who would be greater than Him so as to be a true threat to Him personally? No, most certainly not. For God is sovereign over all His creation. What this means is that God allowed an adversary to exist so as to test or purify His people by faith; Whereby they would trust in Him to be their Victor and Conquerer. Only in this way did God create an enemy for Himself. An enemy that would try His people (i.e. His prized possession) so that they would trust in Him for all forms of Victory within their lives.

So what are the reason(s) for the existence of evil? (or):
How does evil glorify God?

• (a) True love exists because of it.

• (b) God's creation (Man) can truly value the Light by contrasting it with the Dark by how the Light (God) has helped them to overcome their darkness or sin.

• (c) God and His goodness is able to conquer over that which is evil once and for all (Being the Lord and Victor over all things). God created an adversary so as to test His people so that they would trust in Him for all forms of victory within their lives.

Yes, it is. But it is not the OSAS version (Which teaches I can sin and still be saved), though. I believe that this is at the heart of why God could not tell Hosea to marry a prostitute. Because the heart of this issue is an acknowledgment of God's goodness and proper morality. For those who believe in Calvinism, believe that God can directly create evil and create people to be either saved or unsaved (i.e. Forced Salvation). Those who believe in OSAS believe God will allow you to do evil in His name (i.e. Forced Salvation). Both are doctrines of devils that ignores the goodness of our God. That is why I believe some folks here are having a hard time with Hosea 1:2. In other words, they may say "God is good" with their mouths, but their heart is far from Him and they don't actually believe God is truly good deep down. God's goodness is like some big mystery to them. As for others: Well, I think they are having trouble with coming to terms with believing God has a trust worthy moral standard of good that we can trust and explain plainly.

Well, you say what you do because you do not understand. For I believe you are basing this idea off of one false interpretational reading of Hosea 1:2. You have no other verse in Scripture that proves or backs up your false view on this passage. I say this because Scripture always testifies of Scripture (i.e. cross references). See, I have verses (i.e. context) that back up my reading of Hosea 1:2. That is something that you don't have, my friend.

Anyways, do not take my word for it, but please seek the Scriptures like a good Berean to see whether these things be so or not.

No dear sir. I am questioning your false interpretion of God (Based on this verse that leaves God's goodness as if it was some kind of big mystery) and I am not questioning the simple goodness of My God (that everyone can know) as He is described plainly within the Holy Scriptures.

For how in the world can you tell the good guys from the bad guys when you watch a movie or when you turn on the news? Yes, these people may not be saved, but we know good from evil in this world by what people do. For if you were to ever look at the teachings of Jesus Christ, not once did He ever approve of anyone doing evil in His good name. Neither did any of the apostles approve of doing evil or sin in God's name. Again, I believe that this is at the heart of the issue of properly understanding Hosea 1:2.

In other words, if people's moral compasses are off (By ignoring the goodness of our God), then they are going to come to false conclusions about God, various different truths, and doctrine within the Holy Scriptures.

You are wrongfully mixing God's laws with man's laws. Yes, we are to be obey the law of the land if they do not conflict with God's Laws because it was God who placed all nations into power. For when we obey the law of the land we are submitting to the authority of God. But these laws are not eternal moral laws that were created directly by God. There will be no speed limit signs in Heaven or the Millennium, or the Eternal New Earth. None of God's eternal moral laws that are shown within His Word are alterable. It's always wrong to murder, rape, steal, get drunk, fornicate, etc.

Do you just believe all your sins are paid for and continue to leave such a sin to make you a slave to it? Or do you confess your sins so that you can be cleansed of all unrighteousness? I don't believe it is entirely accurate Biblically from Hosea's perspective, but it is a beautiful song that can be listened to from the perspective of Jesus calling back those believers who have backslidden into sin and or Christ calling back His people (of Israel).

Jesus gave me the authority when I repented of my sins and accepted Him as my Savior. Jesus commissioned his disciples to go out into the world and preach the gospel. As believers, we have the authority to teach doctrine, correct, rebuke, and instruct other believers in righteousness (and not unrighteousness) according to God's Word (2 Timothy 3:16). However, if the OSAS (Once Saved Always Saved) proponent believes they can do evil or abide in open rebellion against God by not repenting of their sins (With some false theology that all their future sin is forgiven them), then they are serving two masters (i.e. their self and God). For sin is all about one self and it is not about God. Jesus said we will know false prophets by their fruits. So if you believe that you can do bad fruits and get away with it, then you would be in contradiction of Jesus' words in Matthew 7, my friend (And many many other passages in Scripture). For God wants us to be faithful to Him. He does not want His people to create other gods in their lives by holding on to their sin (and have a spirit of fornication as mentioned in the book of Hosea).
