Yes, He did come to save those who are lost, but in the process did He come to set us free from guilt of sin? Or did He come to set us free from sin?

When I accepted Jesus, he removed my sins as far as the east is from the west. When I sin, I ask for His forgiveness. I do not believe guilt from sin is an issue, as the devil is the one that brings the feelings of guilt in my opinion. And when the devil brings up those feelings of guilt from the past, just remind him of his future. Jesus paid it all, all to Him I owe.

Jesus came to bear the curse which we were under (GAL 3.10-13). He came so that we could through His death for us be accounted as righteous before God (Rom 3.24-29). He bore our sin in His own body on the tree. Thus He clearly bore our guilt. It was not until He had saved us by bearing our guilt that He could begin the process of freeing us from sin. Reconciliation with God and acceptability by Him was essential BEFORE the process of removing sin within could take place. He justified us whilst we were still ungodly (Rom 4.5). That justification, being based solely on the righteousness of Christ, is eternal.

The eternal life that He gave us in order to commence delivery from the power of sin is also eternal. The principle of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made us free from the principle of sin and death, even though the process will take a lifetime to complete. He will not fail in His task. John 6.37-44; 10.27-29; Rom 8.29; 1 Cor 8.9-10; Phil 2.6; 2 Tim i.16; Jude 24.

in post #7 you gave lot statements besides the questions. the questions you ask are very defining so I also answer what you said there.

Jesus came to set the captives free from sin,for it is because of sin that we are captives,and because of sin that we feel guilt.

Jesus came and preached repentance of sins,not the repentance of guilt,and if your sins are forgiven then the feeling of guilt goes away.The sins have to be forgiven first before the guilt goes away,and if Jesus came to free from guilt then the sins still remain.

Jesus came to set the captives free from sin,which then the feeling of guilt goes away,although we are still sorry for what we did,but we do not feel guilty only because God forgave us,and the sins are no longer on our record.

God wants us to forgive ourself for what we did wrong,and if we do not forgive ourself I do not believe we can be saved.

Of course, Jesus came to save us from our sins which is what His name actually means. However, although Christ has provided the means by which we can walk free from sin, there is a process of sanctification involved. IOW, we need to do such things as to renew our minds and such takes time.

often, if a person "assumes" something about someone else, it can be because that would be THEIR automatic thinking on the subject.
