A little levity levitizes the whole bunch
It seems we have concluded the matter. The law of Moses is exactly as it was given and written. The only change to it is, is that we are no longer "under it for judgement". It remains as important as it has always been, for the knowledge and wisdom of God, and the only way for us to truly understand 'THE GRACE" we have been so graciously given to live under by the life, love and sacrifice of Christ Jesus, Lord and Saviour.

I'm not a law-keeper, but I still haven't found a single piece of evidence -- in the Gospels -- that Jesus ever told us to stop keeping the Law. Should we rely solely on what Paul said?
Yes we should reply on what Paul says, because Jesus said Paul is my man!
Plus, Jesus wouldn't have ever said that straight out while He was still alive because of the mission at hand. So He give Paul to say it after His death and resurrection. To me anyway it's just that simple! Anything else empowers the Judizers!!

To obtain a proper perspective of the title question - and the answer - keep in mind this one thing...

The [old] law was "in effect" until the moment Jesus died on the cross.

The veil was rent to indicate the "nullification" of the old law by virtue of the new covenant - which "replaced" the old covenant.

This does not mean that the old law has been "done away with" in the sense of "being totally worthless" such that we should totally ignore it; rather, it has been "done away with" in the sense that the 'requirement' of the [old] law has been 'answered'.

Jesus, being born a Jew, was "under the law" (please understand the context) until the 'requirement' of the law was 'answered' by the sacrifice of Himself on the cross.

Jesus lived His entire life "under the law" - which was necessary for the sake of the 'requirement' of the law being 'answered'.

In the context of His ministry - and, with the cross being "hidden" until it actually occurred - Jesus could not properly explain or instruct anyone (specifically) on this issue other than to say "stay the course" until a better understanding could be had. Some things had to transpire before the full explanation could be made and instruction given.

So - Paul "filled in" for what could not be explained fully and properly until after the necessary events had taken place.

This makes no sense

if we could be judged by it, it means we could not keep it

what makes us think we can keep it now?

if it was written to condemn us, how can it be used to help us? Other than to lead us to what saves us from that condemnation? (namely Christ)

and if was written to condemn us, should we who have been led by it seek to find what helps us AFTER we have been saved, and not the thing which led us there to begin with? Which would stunt our growth, not increase it?
thats like saying a person spends 12 years in school (the law) and finally graduates, and now has to go back to those 12 years of school,

that person will never grow, he needs college, technical school on the job training and a lifetime of learning the “meat” of what an adult needs to continue to grow in life. As well as pick a career and study and learn how to be the best at that that he or she can be.

We as believers need to do the same. The schoolmaster has led us to graduation, now we need to do what we must do to continue our education through advanced studies, personal on the job training by god himself and putting ourselves in a position to go do the work of god. Especially in the means of our gifting

this can not be done is we keep trying to go back to what led us to this point in the first place.

There was one covenant entered into with Abraham. This covenant has as it’s one Heir Jesus Christ.. 430 years later Israel is brought to Mount Sinai. God wants men to know that they are sin filled. When the Law then condemns us to death we are then brought to our Savior Jesus Christ. Having identified sin, condemned the sinner it was now to bring you to Christ as the Savior. At that moment the Written Law is at an end but only as the redeemed are concerned. For unredeemed people the written Law is in full force. The only time anyone is shielded from the Law is when the have come to Christ as Savior.

the Law or Mosaic Covenant is not an eternal covenant.God designed it with limitations. Not that the Law was lacking just designed to do something’s and not other things. Not designed to save designed to condemn. No one criticize it because it cannot save they accept it was not designed to carry that out by God’s design. But claim there are other things Law is designed to do or not to do. 430 years after Abraham would the Written Law be given but it was not for men to live under. Not to guide men through life. No the Law was “Added” to the Abrahamic Covenant. At this point those who claim the Law was combined with Abraham’s Covenant are happy until we find the meaning of the word Added means. The Law was not combined with the sealed Abrahamic Covenant. The meaning of added means to place one thing, mosaic Covenant alongside of something. Like two cars on separate one way streets both of which are taking men to Christ. God’s design and the written Law at an end if you have been brought to Christ. Romans 7 tells us if we are married to the Law we cannot be married to Christ as designed by the Lord God Almighty.

in the Book of Galatians we have another instances we need to apply to themselves. We are told of the Judaizers who are taking the written Law and pervert the Good News. I would venture a guess that having having pervert applied to you in Scripture is not a good thing. You are right. After she has here the perversion of the Good News. The Law not only stops the Good News it actual turns the Good News backwards

the New Testaments new Covenant. Here again we have a word That we must know it’s meaning. What is The Good News the so-called new age of things being reclaimed by the sea. The word new in new covenant is not something this verse is teaching as having not been in existence ilike an brand new but instead it is new in it being further revealed at that point in time. Abraham’s Son and sole Heir was here to claim His inheritance.

I can show where is written that we no longer need to keep the law of Moses:

  • "For He is our peace, He making us both one, and He has broken down the middle wall of partition between us, having abolished in His flesh the enmity (the Law of commandments contained in ordinances) so that in Himself He might make the two into one new man, making peace between them; and so that He might reconcile both to God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity in Himself." (Ephesians 2.14-16).
  • "Therefore if perfection were by the Levitical priesthood (for under it the people received the Law), what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchizedek, and not be called after the order of Aaron? For the priesthood being changed, there is of necessity a change made in the law also. " (Hebrews 7.11,12);
  • "For truly there is a putting away of the commandment which went before, because of the weakness and unprofitableness of it.For the Law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did, by which we draw near to God." (Hebrews 7.18,19).

so why do people want to return to the First? (Moses)

This is where the Law should takee you! desperate, with no hope,

This is where the law should lead you, as the tax collector looking up to Christ

Thats the laws purpose and the law, and the end plan of the law

When people want you to go back to drowning, yet tell you your not drowning (follow law) this is what they are dying to take you

run, as far as you can from that thinking.

EXPOSE THEM

Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. For it is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret. Ephesians 5:11-12

For the secret power of lawlessness is already at work; but the one who now holds it back will continue to do so till he is taken out of the way. 2 Thessalonians 2:7

For certain men whose condemnation was written about long ago have secretly slipped in among you. They are godless men, who change the grace of our God into a license for immorality and deny Jesus Christ our only Sovereign and Lord. Jude 1:4

1.Who are the antiChrists and deceivers referred to in 2John 1:7-11 and 1John 4:1-6?

2.What do they teach?

3.How can we recognize them

The antiChrists do not acknowledge that Christ came in the flesh.

It has caught my attention that some who claim to be Christians no longer include the word LIFE whenever they explain what the Gospel means to them. They would simply say that it is about the DEATH, BURIAL and RESURRECTION of Christ.

If the Gospel of our salvation is the word of Truth, would it still be the truth without the LIFE part?

It could be possible that the intention to disregard the LIFE part is to deceive the believers that it is only through faith in His DEATH, BURIAL and RESURRECTION will one be saved and not by works because they are just filthy rags. These people would separate Faith from works as they do to the LIFE, separating it in disregard from the DEATH, BURIAL and RESURRECTION whenever they assert their doctrine of salvation through FAITH ALONE.

Obviously, the LIFE that Jesus lived on this earth is in total obedience and submission to what the FATHER commanded Him to do in accordance to His will and eternal purpose or plan.

During the days of Jesus’ life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with loud cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission. Although he was a son, he learned obedience from what he suffered and, once made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him. Hebrews 5:7-9

His intent was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms, according to his eternal purpose which he accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord. Ephesians 3:10-11

And what's "through the church" referring to?

It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming. Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ. From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work. Ephesians 4:11-16

To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps. 1 Peter 2:21

Does a Christian have to suffer and walk as Jesus did?

...Whoever claims to live in him must walk as Jesus did. 1 John 2:3-6

It is God's command from the beginning that we must walk in love as Jesus did

And this is love: that we walk in obedience to his commands. As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you walk in love.2 John 1:6

But what do these antiChrist teach? They say that once you are saved the moment you believed in Christ Jesus our Lord, you will always be saved and have already possessed eternal life.

This is a clear disregard for the command of God to walk in love wherein love is to walk in obedience to His commands.

Do they acknowledge Christ's coming in the flesh by saying that faith alone saves and once saved, always saved? That no one can keep God's laws and therefore calling those who obey and teach obedience to God, names to insult, mock, slander and judge them as if they have done such a grave offense to their God by doing so?

Anyone who runs ahead and does not continue in the teaching of Christ does not have God; whoever continues in the teaching has both the Father and the Son. 2 John 1:7-11

These people have ran ahead by claiming to have already possessed eternal life which exempts them from facing judgment on the great day. They claim that their sins in the past, present and future have all been forgiven...no need to repent and ask for forgiveness anymore.

They have not continued in Christ's teachings. Theiir teachings are but rules taught by men and they have nullified the words of God such as His laws given to Moses for all Israel and they do many things like that.

The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For out of the overflow of his heart his mouth speaks. Luke 6:45

Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, 1 John 4:1-2

DO YOU TAKE AWAY THE" LIFE" (lived and walked in obedience to God's commands) FROM THE GOSPEL?

They don't, you just say they do. We follow in the Spirit of them, Jesus Christ. We acknowledge the glory of them. We study them to get a closer relationship with the Lord. We see and study them for the wisdom and knowledge to be found within and are completely aware of what can be found there, and there alone. Like I said, when was the last time you saw any once sacrifice an animal for the forgiveness of their sins?? Never. When was the last time you saw some following the priests duties, or holding court, or stoning someone "under" them. Never. Tell me, what laws of Moses, that weren't put forth in the NT, do you see anyone "claiming" to be under? Not that it would matter if the "claimed" it or not, it is no longer what we are judged by.

Now I am sure you don't mean the 10 commandments, or do you? You know they are not a part of the Law of Moses. No, they are IN the ark. Another way we can be sure?? Jesus repeated them, and in fact, made us not only physically responsible to them but now we have a responsibility to follow them with our hearts and our minds. We are not to think or feel or do evil things to our brethren. Yes, those are eternal. Well, I guess with them being IN the ark nothing more need be said really.

no they do You can deny it all you want.

PS. The ten commands are PART OF THE LAW

what part of you wants to keep denying this FACT?

its you break the ten, is it a sin? YES, Why you people think we or anyone else thinks it is ok to sin is beyond my comprehension. And to be honest, quite offensive, We are sick of being slandered by people who want to hold onto some law which was NEVER given to make yuo a morally good person!

Thats not the problem. The problem is. YOU CAN’T KEEP THE TEN AS COMMANDED BY GOD!

Why you want to continue to drown and think you are just swimming is beyond me sis.
