Did Moses and Elijah rise from dead before the resurrection of Christ?
They appeared to Jesus and talked with Him.
Matthew 17:3: And behold, Moses and Elijah appeared to them, talking with Him.
Mark 9:4: And Elijah appeared to them along with Moses; and they were talking with Jesus.
Luke 9:30: And behold, two men were talking with Him; and they were Moses and Elijah,
Gen 5:24 And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.
Enoch was caught up alive to be with God, but Enoch did not operate in the same capacity as Moses and Elijah.
2Ki 2:11 And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.
Elijah was caught up alive to heaven, and Elijah worked mightily in the capacity of God.
Mat 16:14 And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets.
Mat 17:10 And his disciples asked him, saying, Why then say the scribes that Elias must first come?
Mat 17:11 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Elias truly shall first come, and restore all things.
Mat 17:12 But I say unto you, That Elias is come already, and they knew him not, but have done unto him whatsoever they listed. Likewise shall also the Son of man suffer of them.
Mat 11:13 For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John.
Mat 11:14 And if ye will receive it, this is Elias, which was for to come.
The Jews knew Elijah had to come first, and some said that Jesus was Elijah, but Jesus said that John the Baptist is Elijah which he came in the spirit of Elijah.
Deu 34:5 So Moses the servant of the LORD died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of the LORD.
Deu 34:6 And he buried him in a valley in the land of Moab, over against Bethpeor: but no man knoweth of his sepulchre unto this day.
Deu 34:10 And there arose not a prophet since in Israel like unto Moses, whom the LORD knew face to face,
Deu 34:11 In all the signs and the wonders, which the LORD sent him to do in the land of Egypt to Pharaoh, and to all his servants, and to all his land,
Deu 34:12 And in all that mighty hand, and in all the great terror which Moses shewed in the sight of all Israel.
Moses was buried, and worked mightily in the capacity of God.
Besides Jesus who worked more mighty in the capacity of God, Elijah and Moses worked more mightily in the capacity of God than the rest of the saints.
Joh 3:13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.
But Enoch and Elijah could of not went to heaven where Jesus went for no person went to heaven before Jesus, so they would of had to be caught up that fell short of going to where Jesus went.
But when Jesus resurrected, and went to heaven then all the saints in the Lord could go to heaven, so Enoch and Elijah would of went then.
And Moses would of went then.
Mat 17:1 And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart,
Mat 17:2 And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.
Mat 17:3 And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him.
Nobody could go to heaven until Jesus went to heaven, and then resurrected.
So Moses and Elijah did not come from heaven, and Elijah was not in heaven where Jesus went first, but Jesus brought him there, and Moses was buried but Jesus brought him there.
There must be a reason for the importance of Moses and Elijah being there.
Act 1:6 When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?
Act 1:7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.
Jer 46:27 But fear not thou, O my servant Jacob, and be not dismayed, O Israel: for, behold, I will save thee from afar off, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and be in rest and at ease, and none shall make him afraid.
Jer 46:28 Fear thou not, O Jacob my servant, saith the LORD: for I am with thee; for I will make a full end of all the nations whither I have driven thee: but I will not make a full end of thee, but correct thee in measure; yet will I not leave thee wholly unpunished.
God is going to restore the kingdom on earth to the nation of Israel which by that time they will all be back on their land, and will be turned to the truth that Jesus is the Lord and Savior.
Zec 4:11 Then answered I, and said unto him, What are these two olive trees upon the right side of the candlestick and upon the left side thereof?
Zec 4:12 And I answered again, and said unto him, What be these two olive branches which through the two golden pipes empty the golden oil out of themselves?
Zec 4:13 And he answered me and said, Knowest thou not what these be? And I said, No, my lord.
Zec 4:14 Then said he, These are the two anointed ones, that stand by the Lord of the whole earth.
Rev 11:3 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.
Rev 11:4 These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.
Rev 11:5 And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed.
Rev 11:6 These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.
There must be a reason for the importance of Moses and Elijah being there, and there is for they are the 2 anointed ones that stand by the Lord of the whole earth that shall come back to witness to Israel and turn them to the truth working mightily in the capacity of God with plagues, and fire, and to shut off the rain, and turn water to blood, as often as they will to go against their enemies that would try to stop them from preaching to the Jews, and to show the Jews that they are of God, and of Jesus Christ.
Rev 11:7 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.
Rev 11:8 And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.
Rev 11:11 And after three days and an half the Spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them.
Rev 11:12 And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them.
Rev 11:13 And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven.
Like John the Baptist came in the spirit of Elijah these 2 men will be in the spirit of Moses and Elijah, or they will be Moses in Elijah with a body that God made for them.
They are the 2 saints that God caused to work mightily above all the rest of the saints besides the man Christ Jesus, so they are the 2 men that God will use to witness to the Jews and turn them to the truth.
That is the way it appears to be and why Moses and Elijah were transfigured with Jesus, for they are the 2 anointed ones that stand before the Lord of all the earth.
