Not only did the Jews come for Sabbath but the Gentiles, and in Acts we see almost the whole city wanted to be there on the Sabbath.

Acts 13:42-44
King James Version (KJV)
42 And when the Jews were gone out of the synagogue, the Gentiles besought that these words might be preached to them the next sabbath.
43 Now when the congregation was broken up, many of the Jews and religious proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas: who, speaking to them, persuaded them to continue in the grace of God.
44 And the next sabbath day came almost the whole city together to hear the word of God.

Now we see the Gentiles keep the Sabbath in Antioch as we see Paul when he came there, meeting with them in the synagogue on the Sabbath day.

Acts 13:14
But when they departed from Perga, they came to Antioch in Pisidia, and went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and sat down.

We see much the same in the early church in Thessalonica when Paul as was his manner, entered on three Sabbath days and reasoned with them out of the scriptures.

Acts 17:2
And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures,

And we see more of the same in the early church in Corinth were Paul went every Sabbath and we clearly see it says "persuaded the Jews and the Greeks."

Acts 18:4
And he reasoned in the synagogue every sabbath, and persuaded the Jews and the Greeks.

And we see it was the same thing that Christ had done when He was in His ministry before Paul.

Mark 6:2
And when the sabbath day was come, he began to teach in the synagogue: and many hearing him were astonished, saying, From whence hath this man these things? and what wisdom is this which is given unto him, that even such mighty works are wrought by his hands?

Luke 4:16
And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read.

Luke 4:31
And came down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee, and taught them on the sabbath days.

As had Christ, the Paul worshiped in the early church on the seventh-day Sabbath. We clearly see that in his travels Paul attended the synagogue on the Sabbath with Gentiles and Jews, and preached Christ. Even in places where there was no synagogue, he searched for where the early church met for Sabbath worship.

We find much in history that shows the early church observing the seventh day Sabbath which nearly all Protestant, Orthodox, or Roman Catholic theologians agree was true, and showed that the Sabbath was clearly spread throughout the world in the early church.

Philo
Declares the seventh day to be a festival, not of this or of that city, but of the universe. M'Clatchie, "Notes and Queries," Vol. 4, 99

Early Christians

And it is not to be doubted but they derived this practice from the Apostles themselves, as appears by several scriptures to the purpose." "Dialogues on the Lord's Day," p. 189. Early Christians

the Sabbath is a commanded day to assemble before God, the same as the 7 Holy Feasts of God, they are all God's, not the Jews.

3Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day [is] the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work [therein]: it [is] the sabbath of the LORD in all your dwellings.

4These [are] the feasts of the LORD, [even] holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons.

You have observed things that did happen and wrongly concluded that is how they should happen. That’s not sound reasoning.

If only we had kept the tradition of the Apostles then we would have similar results as they did.

Christians worship God every day of the week.
Which day a person chooses to go to church is not a moral issue.

There is absolutely no doubt the early believers kept the Sabbath. Apostle Paul had a golden opportunity to tell the gentiles that heard him speak in Antioch on the Sabbath that also requested him to come back next Sabbath to speak more . Don’t worry Sunday is the Lords day and will talk to you then , that didn’t happen because they all knew Jew and Gentiles that the Sabbath was the Lords day and the day the Lord blesses . Why in the world would they want anything less than that ? It’s a no brainer as I see it .

But because of Roman persecution of Sabbath keepers that ultimately ended up as the destruction of the temple 70 AD and later wars between Jews and Romans that according to historians almost completely wiped out Jews . By about 120AD the remnant dispersed into other countries. Also this effected Sabbath keeping believers. The Romans made no distinction between them . Then later the Romans decided to adopt Christianity because it was growing and effecting the empire . But they decided on the faith and RCC was born and also decided that Sunday was to be the Lords day and not the Sabbath. They even cursed those that keep the Sabbath and not Sunday. That alone lets you know something is certainly wrong , cursing the 4th commandment! That’s a bit of history , check it out for yourself!

You have observed things that did happen and wrongly concluded that is how they should happen. That’s not sound reasoning.
Observed how things DID HAPPEN, so how do you reason that the 4th commandment was nailed to the cross or not important after the death of Jesus?

People including, Paul and the Apostles continued to keep the sabbath, so why do people say it was made void?

A clear and logical look at history reveals why the change came. It was the Catholic church and they do not hide the fact that it was changed from the 7th to the 1st day. They claim the change.

the vast majority of the 45,000 churches keep Sunday and Christ stated clearly the Many are deceived and are worshiping Him in a lawless way. Matthew 7: 21 -23

but the human mind can always find a way around the Truth.

In the Genesis record of the creation days, each day ends with the statement, "And there was evening, and there was morning the-" (first day, second day, etc.)

But not the seventh day. The seventh day was the sabbath day and no end is mentioned in the Genesis record. This is important in understanding the establishment of the Sabbath day and the role of Christ as our Sabbath rest. The various elements of the Sabbath symbolized the coming of the Messiah, who would provide a permanent rest for His people.

Jesus is our Sabbath rest in part because He is "Lord of the Sabbath". As God incarnate, He decides the true meaning of the Sabbath because He created it, and He is our Sabbath rest in the flesh.

"The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath". The Sabbath rest was instituted to relieve man of his labors, just as He came to relieve us of our attempting to achieve salvation by our works. We no longer rest for only one day, but forever cease our laboring to attain God’s favor.

I decided to Ask the Lord about the Sabbath , should I keep it and my soul and Spirit filled with Love Joy and peace ! The dog got so joyed too , I had to take him for a walk . I often am joyful in thoughts of the Sabbath in the future! There certainly is a lot of confusion on the Sabbath since The 3rd century at least . But for me I also have Gods approval. Try it ask the Lord ! The scriptures do line up so to me it’s a win win . This is what is lacking in so many churches because God does not honour them . But perhaps to the small degree that they honour him . May God bless you as you seek the truth !

Oh for crying out loud.
Not ANOTHER 7th Day Adventist thread.

Between the SADs and Hebrew Roots religions, this forum is going from Evangelical Christians to the obsession with a day of the week and other assorted heresies.

I’m glad I listened to Jesus and not the many doctrines of men ! He is the master of the scriptures , listen to him and the light will go on . Listen to men it’s powerless confusion. End of discussion, many things have been said but not heard May God get your attention some day , just read the scriptures seriously and be a berean ! Or lose out on lots , Like the Sabbath.
