My husband is in the military so we both would need to be leaving our current place before December. We were meant to be going to Maryland next but I think he wants to go alone. He says he is afraid he will repeat his actions and not treat me the way I deserve and that he knows he has been unkind to me.
It feels like he is set on ending things. I look around our home and all our future plans. Fact that I wont see my step son. It's the most painful thing I have ever faced. Yesterday I felt the weight of it all, I have cried bitterly all day long because I just couldn't stop the pain. He says he feels like he doesnt deserve me, that Im being too kind and that he knows he has been mistreating me and feels selfish and worries if he tries again he will mistreat me down the line.
I dont know why my heart feels like this is wrong. I have a hard time picturing my life without him. But again I want God's Will to be and not my wishes.
The safest option for me is to go back to England and stay with my parents so I can get back on my feet financially. And to be honest my mum may need someone to take care of her soon and im happy to do that.
Im sorry if this is long and thank you for advising me! I wish you a blessed day ahead
:)

I can understand that kind of pain.
The good thing is that he has opened up and made progress by communicating with you.
Military life is hard on marriage, but not impossible...

"I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me."
As tempting as it is to turn from the pain of the hardships you both are going through now, don't go down that path of least resistance.
Avoidance of conflict and escapism to a place of familiarity are things we tend to do when hit with traumas. That doesn't solve the problems or get to the root of them though.
That is the flesh, the human nature talking; perhaps friends and family too.
Separation is not God's will. Reconcilation until death do you part is. You need to listen to sound Bible teaching as we all do. That will be where you get encouragement and God's direction.
The Bible has the answers because our Heavenly Father knows best. You know that, but we all need reminders, including me.
Blessings and comfort

I completely agree and honestly for months and months I have cried and tried my best to fix this. I have asked him to pray also, if not for us then at least for himself. He seems to be questioning his faith, he says he doesn't but he wont listen to any teachings and doesnt want to go to church with me. I find that painful too since when we got married he said he was a believer and used to pray for me. I still pray for both of us and for the holy spirit to enter his heart. I dont want him to lose his faith. I believe then he would be truly lost. And thought of that is painful.
Right now I'm just praying for God's peace and guidance. My husband doesnt want to stay with me but doesn't want to go through divorce either unless its after I leave the country.. I'm not sure if its due to ulterior motives but Im praying for us to do the right thing for both of us.
Thank you so much for taking your time to respond to me, I am truly grateful for all the help I get since I genuinely dont have anybody here and being alone through this has been most difficult. I hope you have a wonderful and blessed day 💛
