probably not the best evidence but there have been fossils of trilobites squished by a human foot.
trilobites are supposedly millions of years older then dinosaurs, how does that fit in?
Also, as soon as bring up something like "you can look at how this earth is created in two different ways' or 'evolution is not true' they will automatically bad mouth you saying your ignorant and stupid. through there own ignorance and hatred they tune out all the important little things that bash there theroy. and for ONT an all you other evolutionist wannabes, i will pray for you.

I officially give up the argument. I only warn that this ridiculous rejection of obvious facts of nature is only going to hurt Christianity as a whole.
I don't discount that dinosaurs lived on the earth...I just think that the carbon dating system is wrong. Evolution was only introduced about 200 years ago...the bible has been around for how long? The bible only speaks about the last couple thousand years, beginning with the creation of the world, but science wants us to believe it is billions of years old. I'm not a math major but I can figure out that math with my fingers and toes lol

Carbon dating is wrong and without it the evolution argument is lost. Creation and a young earth is supported by all other forms of evidence such as rock paintings and ancient stories. The Australian aboriginals are one of the oldest civilisations on earth and their dream time stories and rock art confirms the existance of dinosaurs living with humans. Furthermore, other isolated indigenous people groups in entirely different parts of the world all have remarkably similar stories regarding such creatures, which lends weight to the idea that humans existed with dinosaurs and these people's could not have been making up things from their own imaginations.
Don't believe that evolution is true just because all they have to prove it is questionable dating techniques based upon questionable assumptions, that's all they have. Real science questions the so called established fact and status quo, only a fool would blindly follow it without considering both sides of the argument.

Barry Settlefield.. a scientist.. had a look at the measurements of the speed of light since it has been been measured. He found out that it has had a slightly decreasing trend in speed.
So he decided to project the speed back to a point where it got to kind of an infinite speed.. and it matched the biblical record of around 6,000 years.
He was ridiculed for his findings.. so he decided to gather more and more data.. and found out that the more data he got.. the more it confirmed his findings. He found decay curves in other elements on earth that matched the decay curve of the speed of light.
Like Mahogany Snail has typed-- there are plenty of evidences to suggest a young earth in nature.

Our "rediculous rejection of obvious facts" is actually what sets us apart from you, because we choose to believe in our Bible and our God. I doubt doing that is going to hurt Christianity.

soooo, if He did... why not make an "adult" earth and universe? (creating it days before, but with lots of age in it...)

The only nagging question I have for this particular thread is how can a person claim to be a bible following christian and believe in evolution? They are two opposing theories...

nor does it say if there were other humans than adam and eve, and if not, why they were not inbred

Straight Up the Word of God is True, cover to cover. If you don't beleive Genesis chapters 1-11, then how can you beleive the Gospel? The starting position of the Christian, Like Jesus, was the Word of God as truth, and that is our worldview. And the Word says that Gen 1-11 is literal historical.
So, the battle isn't over science, it's over worldviews

Guys I feel compelled to say these two verses:
Ecclesiastes: 3:11 "He hath made everything beautiful in his time; also he hath set the world in their hearts, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end"
Also
Ecclesiastes: 8:17 "Then I beheld all the work of God, that a man cannot find out the work that is done under the sun: because though a man labour to seek it out, yet he shall not find it; yea farther; though a wiseman think to know it, yet shall he not be able to find it."
(KJV)
SO I guess summarising we'll never know the exact works and particular order of events from the beginning of time (if there is a beginning of time!). God didn't say:
"Well I fused the photon particles with the atomic structures to create heavier elements first.....rarara".
He gave us the basics, which was that He created the world and us in a systematic order, and that's all we really need to know.
I guess if you really really need detailed answers just know "we'll understand it, all by and by".
So yea, debating over the matter won't get us very far. We should focus on the more important matters and move forward together in God, and not critise and doubt whether each other are Christians because of differing points of views not explicitly covered in the bible!

Astrid the reason why we discourage inbreeding NOW is because so many congenital deformities have crept in;
2 people closely related will emphasise them rather than avoid them
Adam and Eve were created with a huge genetic diversity
some of that genetic diversity was lost when we got narrowed down to the gene pool of 8 people in noah's ark(we are all now descendants of only SIX(OR FEWER) people and the genes they carried.
Abraham married his half sister.
Isaac and Jacob married their cousins
All this was to consolidate racial characteristics.
NOW it is not a good idea to marry a cousin, let alone a sibling.
In the beginning it was not so.
I imagine Eve to have ebony skin and long blonde hair and asiatic features
I imagine Adam to have reddish brown skin and frizzy red hair.
