Uh, what's a quilt cover?
I have a neat freak running around in my brain. She is a perfectionist. However, she doesn't usually get her own way. I come from a long line of people who do not know how to keep house. Growing up, I lived in low income housing. Our house got clean for two reasons: inspections and moving. Oh, I knew how to clean. I knew how to make things spotless. I've just never learned how to do the daily routine.
As a child, we enough laundry that never moved that I could hide in it during hide and seek. When I did clean, it was all or nothing. If I was going to clean it took at least a week because tidying up to me mean a complete overhaul. I emptied my closets, drawers, and bins, sorted through everything, repaired what needed repair, and made my bed. That was the only time my bed got made.
As an adult I've improved greatly upon my family. Am I a neat freak? Outwardly, no! And my inward perfectionist loves to attack me on this front. If I'm stressed guess where you see it first. If I'm stressed all my energy goes toward surviving inwardly. Clothes are not hung up and dishes
get stacked.
However, even in the chaos there is organization. There are piles of dirty clothes, clean clothes, work clothes, etc. I still do know where everything is usually.
