Disappointments are just one way for Jesus to say: I have something better for you.
We should not go on about complaining. What about the wonders that Jesus do for us?
• “Many, O LORD my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered.” (Psalms 40.5)
We ought not to be surprised with the evilness of the men (see Hebrews 13.5,6). Astonishing would be if Jesus fail us. If we dwell (stay) in the secret place of the Most High (Psalms 91.1), our enemies will not be able to get away with the snare of the fowler that they set for us.
It's obvious that the people that offend us can't make up for the harm they did us, but Jesus has much more to give us if we only left behind all grudge and simply receive with gratitude the immense richness of His grace.
So, let's have good eyes (Luke 11.33-36).
