What my point was that if we don't meditate on God's word and spend some time in prayer daily, our soul does suffer. It wilts and I have felt it.

Just as we feel weary when and we suffer physically when we don't feed our natural bodies, it is also true with the spiritual body.

Over the years I have found that one of the greatest struggles in the Christian life is the effort to make adequate time for daily waiting on God, weekly inventory and monthly planning. Yet this is the path to escaping the "TRANNY OF THE URGENT". As we hold to the teachings of Jesus and seek His wisdom in the decisions we make, He frees us from the tyranny of the urgent to do what is really important.

Nothing substitutes for knowing that on this day, at this hour, in this place, we are doing the will of our Father in heaven. Only then can we contemplate in peace so many unfinished tasks. At the end of our lives, whether they are short or long, what could give us greater Joy than being sure we have completed the work God gave us to do? Then we can look forward to seeing our Lord and Hearing Him say, "Well done, good and faithful servant!" Matt 25:21.

when you are on your death bed what will you think about? The money you made on the job? The great work you accomplished at work? The painted fence? The cool car you owned? NO! It will be people and your future......And then you will start adding up all the things you did in christ to invest in that future..90 yrs. vs. eternity. what was important? God Bless you and keep you.

Where your Heart is there your treasure is also.. Ask God to help you chose the important things over the here and now, the "TYRANNY OF THE URGENT"!
